Tom Watson was picked for another team but withdrew cos his wife was expecting.

Anyway I've had a punt on US to win the Day one foursomes at 6-1

I also went for Kaymer as top scorer.  He's had two huge wins this year and holed last years winning putt, I can't see him playing less than 4 matches.  From interviews he seemed to be "just playing" that huge stretch in the US and hopefully will have had a bit of a rest and be fully motivated.

One thing - I went for him each way just because 4 places 1/4 can't be bad and I think he will be one of the anchors, but what do you think about the rookies like VD - I'd be inclined to go win only as they will prob have to win their first match to get fully used, so a bit like a good horse coming back from injury could be first or last but prob not second.

What are peoples thoughts on Ryan Palmer at the Dunhill? Positives - having best ever year and rested.  Negative - doesn't appear to have links form.

Its odd how much more his odds have moved on Betfair than the books.  He was 40-1 with 5 places but now 35-1 with 6.  He was 48 on betfair tho, now 36.

I've had a dabble on Robert Karlsson ew this week at a working-man's price.

Palmer up as having a 9 on the 4th at Carnoustie for hours when its was actually a four.  Paddy were 250-1, winner 300-1.  Wonder if they will try to palp?

Pretty disgraceful if they do.  I am sure they wouldnt let me cancel a bet because x source said a player was out and I had a bet on the back of it or because I saw a box score that said a team had won a game and hadn't.  Surely it is up to them to have acurate data?

You would think so.  I just heard about it too late.  Apparently Sky were showing him at -2 and the official score board +3.  I had a look at the 4th and tho its a tough hole, there was no water or OB so didn't seem possible for a pro to score 9.

Here's the betting history
