Disappointing turn out yes ...but there is so much on the poker calendar these days almost weekly !

Every tourney can't fill up it just can't !

I can't play this month as I am busy Sunday not everyone can play every week !

I still think also that £300 deepstack  appeals to a wider  range of players

Agree with this. I'm currently sat at home deciding whether to play or not and I must say the £550 buy in really puts me off. It's a big lump of cash to have to lay out for your average recreational player.

I know that Rob has made the decision to stick with the monthly thing rather than try to avoid other tours and I think that's a great idea. Maybe have a bit of a compromise though and have a £300 on a month such as this one where there's a GUKPT happening at the same time and the £500 when it's all clear.

Distinct lack of offers to put me in judging by my lack of PM's.

Sean Belton is out

There is a raise, and two calls the last of which is Mad Turk

Sean is a frustrated short-stack with an eye on the cash tables

He shoves

AQ passes from the original raiser

the first caller passes

Good luck getting Mr Turk to pass

He calls with K-10 and holds againast J-6 to send Sean to the top tier

Gary Banks raises in mid position

Mad Turk calls in position

Mathew Seer calls in the big blind

check

Banks 2500

Turk calls

Seer check calls

check

Banks 4750

Turk calls

Seer check calls

two spades river

Seer leads for 11,000

Banks a very quick fold

The stage is set for a Turk virtuoso-act

He chunters

He postulates

He considers

Seer tells him "you can fold"

I almost expect the rest of the table to shout "Oh no he can't" but to their credit they resist

Turk tells the dealer he will call the clock on himself

"OK" says the dealer, who has seen and heard it all before "I can't do it but you can"

Turk cogitates some more

"I don't think you are capable of bluffing. You don't have it in you" he tells Seers

Pause

"but you gave me a little speech"

"you can fold" repeats Seer

"When is your birthday?" asks Turk

"April" I reply, before realising he is asking Seer

"September" says Seer

"I am going to give you a birthday present" says Turk and passes 11,000 to Seer who flips

Turk mucks

"I knew he wasn't bluffing" he says.

"What did you have?" he asks Banks

"Eight high" repleis Banks

"I knew that" says Turk

"What did you have?"  i ask Turk. If you don't ask, you can't complete the tale....

"Ace-King" says Turk, whilst the other side of the table Banks sniggers, sotto voce

Luke Flack opens to 1200

Jonathan McCann all in 14,000

Lydia Cugudda all in on the button

In the big blind Masud Prodhan calls all in

Flack passes

McCann A-Jo

Cugudda A-Qcc

Prodhan 10-10

4-6-3-4-K to treble Prodhan up

Cugudda takes the bigger side pot knocking out McCann

--

Meanwhile, as  I spy three players knocked out at Manchester today enter to buy in, including Carlo Ctrone (Deadman-ed in his rush of cards earlier on today) we are up to 115 entries in the last level for entries/re-entries, still 50 short
