Thanks for all the good luck/well done messages on here and on facebook, text etc. Really means a lot!

So a tourney report is in order. I reported most of the big hands here, so most of the poker bits have been covered. My "key" hand on day 2 was the KJ hand. I peeled pre from the button and called two streets on a J high board, the turn bet was large and it felt to me like "one more big bet to get him off his draws then im done" so thought i would get cheap showdown. But that was not the case when he shipped, J8228 was the board with a missed FD possibility. When he jammed the river it literally felt like nuts or air kinda spot. With Nuts including an 8(and 88), 2 (and 22) , JJ or AA but most likely AA. Then his air was really AKdd or similar with a missed flop flush draw. Obviously there is a possibility he has other combos but we are deep with 100 left in a big field WSOP i just didnt have him down as the type of player willing to pull of a big bluff. It hurt at the time to lay down the hand and leave myself with 20BB when winning the hand would have put me in great shape but it felt the best option. He confirmed later to me (He bust one place after me) that he had AA and i made a good fold. So pretty happy with the hand after all.

When i got moved tables i was short, this was very unfortunate as there was a young English (unkown to me) and american lad really battling hard with each other and sometimes in my eyes they were battling to hard, would have been nice to have been able to 3bet/4 bet these guys but with my stack it was not possible. Im pretty happy with how i played when short and jamming Q10 BvB for 12BB is fairly standard, especially as the BB was a massive nit. Id pretty much said im jamming most hands here was glad to wake up with Q10. He folded QQ earlier to a 20BB jam :/ when he had chunks of chips. Anyway, im really happy with how i played the structure in these comps mean its imperative to get a good start which i got and then from there i really didnt have any tough spots, or any "lucky" hands. I lost 3 huge flips for big stacks which was really frustrating as it took till day 2 for me to have an all in confrontation flipping pre.

Aside from the poker, i really had a great time, my first WSOP event, my first cash and a deep run to boot. I really felt confident and relaxed and happy throughout i really enjoyed the experience and i can not wait for the next big one on Thursday. Its a shame because i have a buzz for these events now and want one every day! I got some really nice comments throughout from other players and dealers about my play and my attitude at the poker table. Allyn Shulman had some really nice comments for me as i left the table and these sorts of things really mean a lot to me as sometimes we lose track of ourselves in these stupid card games and forget to be polite and nice to our table friends.

I really had a great time! Onto the next one. Another cash please!!!

Is that because you're a baller, or because you mostly play on your laptop now?

Struggling for internet so writing bits up in notes then copying them over when I get chance.

Coming back with 16500 we call AQ and go 3 ways to a Q high board 3 hearts. Original raise bets and we call and we are 3 ways to the turn which is a brick. Same again. 3 ways to a river which is a K off suit. Checked to player in position who bets I sigh call it off. Probably should have passed but it was a pretty big pot and the bet was not huge. They had flopped the nuts.

Then we 3bet K10 from the button. Original raiser callers and we see a 1093 flop two clubs. I continue and he check raises small. I decide to flat thinking I may have to pay off his sets on the turn if it bricks etc. Turn is an off suit Q and he jams which is for like double pot. I passed meh.

Then we open KK board comes 1073 2 diamonds turn is the bingo. 2 spades 2 diamonds out there, I checked, this was bad and stupid and I don't know why I did it tbh. Luckily it takes off behind me and I end up all in on the turn v A10 spade for a treble up after he bet the other guy off the pot. It bricks and I'm back to above starting stack.

16.5k.
