Always looked a handful when I have seen him, think he will fit in well alongside Pelle / Jay-Rod. Only drawback is he has never really been prolific.

It's a lot of money but given Ulloa, Mcormack - I guess it's standard. Not like were short anyway so whatever.

Squad coming together very nicely now - has been a productive 3 weeks. Shame we couldnt quite nab Rojo. Gardos should be done this week as well in time for Sunday.

Hmmm - can't see the point in getting in a huge pile of cash on all your assets if you're going to spend sums like £12m on Shane Long.

Hull bought him for about £7 million about 5 months ago!

Not that I think Long is bad by the way.  But I'd rather just keep Lallana than spend £12 million for standard premier league players.

Not sure long is prolific though. Happy to take Billy to Leeds for that money.

You only offered £4m for Byram but Leeds holding out for £8m which is peanuts for prem teams budgets these days.

yeah billy sharpe for 450k is a good deal for a championship side he is a great championship player just wasnt able to take final step to prem

classed as home grown so is to go for a premium as we are a few home grown players short of the 8 (over 21) then
its a needs must sort of transfer

Yeah - I'm sure he'll be solid.  Just feels like Saints made Hull an over they couldn't refuse - £5 million profit in 5 months.

I'd be more concerned with them spending 12m of it Long  and him not missing the start of the season Smiley

he signed for £6m in jan

4 goals in 15 games later its £12m

what's changed? not a lot apart from other clubs know you are forced buyer

also we only had 7 home grown players(over 21) in the squad now up to 8
but cork looks like going  and schnierlin (classed as HG)could be aswell
teams know we need to buy in players and need guys classed as HG to fill the squad

think he will do well but 3rd choice striker at best if everyone is fit 12 million too much

Quick question who is going to score the goals/any goals for Hull this term?
