Any news on Gaston Ramirez down there mate? News up here (Boro) ranges from he is having a medical to we arent interested!

He has been told he has no future at Southampton. Was told this last Summer.

Has shown little real interest to try and break into the side for a long time now. Was poor when we went on loan to Hull a while back. We have wanted him off the books for ages as he is on a lot of money. Would rate him as no better than a decent championship player. I used to have some fondness for him back in the Championship days but just not technically or physically good enough at the top level.

I suspect whether he will leave or not is completely money related. Is on a cushy number at Southampton with contact up in the Summer. Expect a move to Boro will mean a pay drop so may just sit it out.

4 clean sheets for forster since coming back from 10 months out injured including 10 saves (according the EPL fantasy site i counted more) tonight
has to be on the plane to the euros and challenging for the number 1 spot surely

without him coming back saints could be on the fringes of a relegation dogfight

i am assuming its because targett is so young and the need to keep the likes of yoshida happy

Chucked in an absolute shocker of a performance tonight. The worst of the season.

Odd state of affairs when Pelle, Tadic and Mane just look completely gone. Rank out of form.

Austin has been very ineffective so far although early days for judgement. Also, Koeman absolutely loves a tinker. Looks a lot to me like some are just not understanding the system and I don't blame them as it seems to change at least 3 times a game.

Need to find some motivation from somewhere. A fair few midlands away games coming up that I was planning on attending but may just not bother given we have very little to play for and look disinterested.

terrible result for the saints last night west ham beating Man U has made qualifying for Europe very hard relying on other teams losing or dropping points and or Man U winning the FA cup

but with a game to go we have equaled our record points haul of last season so even if we fail to make Europe this season its still a good season after the turmoil of the last 2 summers a quiet one should allow us to move forward

Saints have been busy after long term deal for VVD we have now secured Forster till 2021 and JWP till 2022

now can we get the most important signature in Koeman himself

I don't see Koeman signing, he is ambitious and with a year left on his contract, can wait for the right job to come along - Arsenal?

What a brilliant second half of the season we have had. Hats off to Koeman, I have doubted him at time but there is no denying that he is a good tactician and man motivator. First time ever that we have 3 top ten finishes in a row. Good times.

Expect movement in the summer - don't expect Wanyama or Mane to be here.

Thankfully, the rest of the squad is very settled and a couple of fresh faces is all that's needed really. Would be looking for a right back and a creative midfielder in the Lallana mould as priorities. Rest of the team looks good and good coverage.

Hopefully we can sneak into Europe on Saturday and have a proper go this time.

you think pelle will stay? i think we have had the best out of him and might be time to let him move to italy
with austin long and Jrod all vying for the striker its not as if we lack cover
