How do some of you have three slices of toast as a portion? Not saying it's a bad amount as a portion size, but surely your toaster has either two or four slots so multiples of two is surely standard?

you assume everyone has a toaster.

We don't have a toaster and we eat toast/toasties quite regularly

That's true.

Fish fingers? Only eat these in fish finger sandwiches. 3 per sandwich. With ketchup, vinegar and a pinch of salt. Fish fingers slightly mashed up inside sandwich with a fork. I might have more than one sandwich.

replace the bread with waffles. best thing ever. believe.

You talking potato waffles?

Not suggested, what do you have as a typical portion?

Fish fingers? I don't eat fish
Sausages?   2
Pasta?  Plate full
Grapes? What?
Toast? 2-4
Bacon? 2
Roast Potatoes? 6-10
Custard Creams? 0
Lemon Squash? No
Rice? half a glass full
Baked beans? Tin if with toast, half tin of with breakfast.

Anything. What goes as a portion in your house?

Adults eating fish fingers.  Weird.

Excellent emergency food and I'm a bit of a gourmet.

It's five for me with sauteed potatoes and fiery tomato sauce.

I do feel a little dirty afterwards though.

5 is a strange number. I can only imagine there is a convenience element. How many are in a box Ralph?

Twelve in a box(I prefer the haddock ones) but i usually have a spare.

Not exactly the most convenient number but I find that four is not quite enough.

Obviously four is fine for a sandwich but for a meal I need five.

That would have me freaking out if yo have 2 portions you have 2 spare fingers, that's not good.  3 portions of 4 and have more chips/peas is surely the way to go?

Fish fingers? Four. Could eat ten but must exercise some discipline.
Sausages? Three on a meal, two on sandwich/breakfast.
Pasta? Third of a dinner plate.
Grapes? Half a punnet.
Toast? Two rounds.
Bacon? Two rashers.
Roast Potatoes? As many as I can get.
Custard Creams? No thanks.
Lemon Squash? 250ml glass
Rice? Third of a dinner plate
Baked beans? Two tablespoons.

Must add how shocked and dismayed I am by AdamMs admission that he nicks half his poor daughters sausage.  What happened to equality for women?

just lol at the idea that somehow adults eating fish fingers is anathema to anyone

still chuckling an hour after it was posted

Come on now, this must be an English thing.  How many times have you gone out for food and fish fingers are an option on an adult menu? They are always under the kiddy section.  I was like 7 or 8 the last time I ate Fish Fingers.

Grosvenor casinos have (or had) a fish finger sandwich option, served with veg crisps and a bit of salad which I ordered more than once Smiley
