I'd quite like to watch that actually, whatever you think of Farage, he does actually hold court quite well. I wonder if Cameron's tactics would be to try and make him look like a crazy person.

Didn't Farage destroy Clegg last time this happened a few years ago?  Not sure I would have picked Farage if I had a free pick.

+1

Farage is nobody's fool, and he's been rehearsing the case for brexit for years. On the other hand, Cameron changes his position with the prevailing wind. Farage is entirely capable of exposing Cameron's weaknesses without having to save his own political skin - he's got nothing to lose. A risky opponent indeed.

It's an interesting spot, he can't go head to head with BJ or Gove, he's always tried to avoid a head to head debate with anyone, knowing he'll probably be humiliated. Still, at least he's prime ministerial lol.

In six years of PMQ's all we've learn't is that DC would have been a good playground bully, well prepared by Danny Fink and George. He'll be very interesting vs Farage.

Shame it's not Cameron and Galloway in debate, I'd have watched that.

Whatever one's opinion of Galloway he's one hell of a debator.

I'm not sure why you've chosen to post this. It probably belongs in a new thread called 'Newspaper headlines that make you laugh' or some such.

I think it's relevant, speaks to the desperation (both sides I'm sure) of the Brexit debate are going to

It is an old story.  There are limits on the power output of vacuums etc.  But what they don't know is what would be the limit if we left.  I just can't see a post Brexit Britain starting selling overpowered hoovers given the carbon emission limits we should be meeting.  MPs are going to have far more pressing matters to deal with.

It is a bit like every numpty bringing up the human rights act.  It was a UK idea ffs.  More than that, it is one we should be proud of.

If there was brexit and new kettle rules, it would make no difference, a manufacturer would build a 1 kW kettle for Europe, then for the UK would sell the same 1 kW kettle even if the UK rules say you can have 1.5kW as they are not going to make two types of kettle.

The same is true of cars, irons or bananas. In the US the rules in states  like California tend to be the defacto standards for all other states. For school textbooks this tends to be Texas, although this does lead to evolution / creation debate getting a bit heated there.

Bank of England governor Mark Carney was the closest the groups thought they had yet seen to a credible, impartial witness on the economy, and many had heard his warnings of the risks of Brexit. “I don’t think anyone is completely independent, but somehow his view is less biased. Maybe it’s because he’s Canadian. He’s not part of the tie boy network.” The what?? “The what is it, the old school tie.” Oh, tie.
