" This is the first of our Combined Forecasts for next month’s general election in which we aggregate seats and vote share forecasts from a variety of sources including betting markets, polls, statistical forecasting models, volunteer forecast aggregators, and citizen forecasts. We will update weekly and the methodology (as detailed below) will evolve."

Ukip will field candidates in just 377 seats (58%), down from 624 (96%) at last election. Hands Tories a clear run in swathes of seats.

eg UKIP only standing in 1 of 6 Cornwall seats, LD territory

Makes it *really* tough for Lib Dems to win back seats in the south west.

Which is why quotes as high as 30+ have come down to 20-22 and now the 15-18 range

Britain has not fought just war since 1945, says Jeremy Corbyn, prompting anger from veterans

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/12/britain-has-not-fought-just-war-since-1945-says-jeremy-corbyn/

(whatever the rights and wrongs of his views, it does cause him problems in the labour working class/patriotic pro armed forces vote for sure)

Hmmm. Post last night deleted from the thread without explanation.

It was contrary to others' expressed opinions on Defence spending, but not all that controversial.

Pretty heavy-handed, just because you don't agree with an opinion.
