Updates for those of us without UK TV please?

Newcastle was almost 50-50 when it should have been more strongly remain

Sunderland 61-39 to leave when it should have been more closely contested/marginally leave.

high 60s% turnout has been seen so far.

London and a few of the major cosmopolitan cities have got to be very heavily remain for them to win ?

Very much so, the big question is how much does the North East reflect the rest of the country? It has shown different swings in general elections to the rest of the country.

Obviously good results for leave so far.

Timing of the vote (late June) might mean a lot of students are caught between uni house and moving back home after exams and don't vote right?  Is this an issue?  Favours Leave?

The English nationalism has to be hugely strong in these Labour core areas .Sunderland has Nissan and massive EU grants, and are seemingly happy to see those at risk .Very interesting night indeed

Anyone who is actually going to vote will be registered at their parents' address/figures this stuff out. Think it has a negligible effect.

That was the biggest one day fall in sterling since 1992 by the way. One expectation modelled by one firm has sterling falling 30%+ on event shock if it happens tomorrow
