There is some remarkable Labour gains in areas where I presume students go to uni. Canterbury, Warwick and Leamington, the young have turned up.

Labour took Canterbury that's a massive result. It's heartland Tory seat.

Can only be student's turning up surely?  Doesn't fit with any pattern with other pure blue traditional tory seats.

Yeah, Tories didn't count on the young people showing up.

Turns out they care about Brexit after all.

Obviously not all but I do believe they are where students of University of Warwick and Kent are based. Tuition fees policy has definitely cut through as a policy.

I agree with doing away with tuition fees but by cutting university places back to the what we had in the 70's.

SNP claims to have won the election in Scotland are grating on me.  There is no winning when Scotland has propped up a Tory minority govt.

I think there is only so much they can take.  Soaring house prices which make it impossible to buy a starter home even on a decent grad salary, student fees/grants etc, cost of living, minimum wage etc etc.  Social media engaging with them over the issues and tempting them into voting/discussing it with friends more and more.  Sooner or later they were going to really get stuck into politics and today was the day.  Don't even think Brexit would have been that big a deal tbh in the grand scheme of things to youngsters.
