The Conservative-DUP Confidence and supply deal has been signed this morning, costing £1bn

https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/06/tories-deeply-worried-dup-deal/#

... as if the triple lock on pensions is only going to cost £1bn...

The national security clause makes me uncomfortable. Snoopers charter on the way .

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson argued it was "absurd" to criticise UK government spending on top of Barnett in Northern Ireland, when "the exact same thing happens in Scotland".

Is it absurd from an English man's perspective?

Maybe Theresa May should let this DUP leader handle the Brexit negotiations.

Labour’s nonsensical Brexit position is perfect opposition politics

(ie it can go to any position depending on what happens)

The Conservative-DUP deal is great news for the DUP, but bad news for Theresa May,

If the roles were reversed Jezza would be doing a deal with other parties too, shock horror, just look at Brown before.
A relatively stable government is vital given the small matters of Brexit,Brexit and Brexit.
It's not ideal, we knew it was coming,,....and given " a week is a long time in politics" .....are we really going to be bothered about this next week?

I think £1 billion looks extremely cheap compared to the alternative of the Labour manifesto and their expenditure plans.

And as for the Europeans treating us as weaker, well many of those countries governments have been coalitions for years.

this morning the BOE ordered the banks to set aside another £11bn for a wave of bad debts it expects, sort of on an amber warning footing

Keep calm and carry on?

May is back to her relatively comfort zone of governing......rather than her weakness of campaigning.
Corbyn is returning to his weakness of leading an opposition..... rather than his strength of campaigning.

...and of course we are now back to typical British Summer weather.
