the way she spoke about the referendum, she didn't say anything about not having another one. Would have been easy to put that in. Notable?

Three options for Theresa May this pm

1. Say she’s suspending negotiations because she’s run out of road to force EU rethink

2. Suddenly change position & say shes not going to sign up to the NI backstop and ramp up no deal planning

3. Ramp up linguistically but w/o substance

where's your bet going?

3 justifies favouritism,wins hard held

goes up 7 lbs for next race

lengthen transition then second vote which EU would allow is probably the way to go but you have to get lengthened transition past the nutters and through parliament

a strong view out there is that this might happen but it would need a new prime minister to achieve it as May is damaged goods post chequers with the ERG

Wow, that was truly embarrassing to watch.  Theresa May tries to go all "school headmistress" on the naughty children in the EU.

Unfortunately, the whole 'staying in the EEA won't respect the referendum' line is complete bollocks.  She's chosen to make that interpretation from the outset, but the referendum said nothing about the terms of exit.

Using that argument, then she won't be respecting the referendum result unless she gives the NHS £350m a week from March 2019.

I can't believe how much that statement reeked of utter desperation.  Utterly pathetic.

a pure yes or novote was a horrible mistake

Brexit means (Brexit) different things to different people

a ballot paper that read

1) norway
2) canada
3) stay

splits 1 and 2 and 3 wins

Continuation of the incompetence facade by a dispensable politician to break the will of hard men like me. I'm not falling for it.

Even the hardliners couldn't countenance an exodus and the damage it would do to the profits of the many low efficiency marginal businesses that couldn't survive if paying decent wages. Otoh,  people did suck up and vote tory for a long time when we last restructured our economy in the 80s  so maybe they would do so again
