MCFC have agreed £49m for Sterling.

MUFC have spent similar amount on Depay, Schweinsteiger & Darmian.

shows the you the english player premium

MU have made out like bandits on relative value this summer?

Will Sterling turn out to be another SWP?

I don't think so, but Sterling's dip in form among the transfer controversy at the back end of last season is a little worrying. However, he is 20 and I think once he gets his form back he will be less likely to lose it through maturity to any future similar situations.

Very nice business.

We sold 3 very promising youth players in the space of 4 years.

Liam O'Brien to Portsmouth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_O%27Brien_%28footballer,_born_1991%29

Dean Parrett to Tottenham https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Parrett (He was England U16 captain)

and Sterling

To be frank, I'd rather have kept them all and seen them blooded at Loftus Road.

I bet O'Brien and Parrett wish they'd stayed. Zero first team appearances for the club they joined for either (I think Parrett played a couple of Europa Cup games). Now plying their trades in League 2.

It gets worse Smiley

Upfront fee is £44million .... £5million in add-ons, so QPR will have to wait a bit for that
