in the high roller Aex Goulder doubles up Martyn Frey who has 99 v AKand holds

Stacey Coore doubles up through Kully Sidhu. Sidhu raises AK UTG and is called in the bvig blind

3-4-K, check/cbet/call

Coore shoves the 9 turn, call

Coore K-9 for turned two pair to double

--

on the Coore/Sidhu table is Carl Froch, sporting the biggest watch i have ever seen

he keeps looking at this watch, and contemplating calling any all in on the table, as if he has somewhere to go.

--

Neil channing is over 100,000 having begun the day on 15,000, first double up was through skalie A-10 v K-J

Poker is competing for his attentions with mobile oddschecker, and might be losing

The board reads

Alex Gulder in the big blind check raises all in for over 50,000

Simon Higgins in the cut off has made it 12,000

Higgins ponders

"now then have you got Jack-ten of spades, pocket threes or pocket nines?"

the words drift across the table as Alex smiles

Higgins thinks some more, leans over to check how much Goulder has in the middle and calls

with

Goulder stands and flips

"nice hand" he says as the three clubs falls on the river and Alex departs, Barcelona bound...

With 20 left in the high roller I have been hovering near fidgety Froch

Carl isn't too experienced at tournament poker, which is fair enough and 40 minute levels even at six max are takign a toll

"boring isn't it?" he says to tikay

(who no doubt wants to tell him that he'd like the clock much slower so he can wait for aces longer)

tikay tells him the WSOP main has two hour levels

Froch's jaw drops, unlike in any bout at any stage of his erstwhile career

"really?" he exclaims, wide eyed

Someone find that man a turbo.

but Mr Froch is somewhat unconventional

in a lot of pots

limps into a lot of them

UTG+1 he limps for 3,000 from 60,000

folded round to Stacey Coore in the big blind who makes it 10,000

Froch looks at his cards again, looks at his stack, Froch's stack, looks at his cards, looks at his watch, back at his cards...

and makes it 23,000

Mr Coore has and ponders silently the situation, or the fruitlessness of a poker player's existence when at 3pm on a thursday afternoon he is trying to work out what a world champion boxer has froma cross the felt...

eventually he folds, somewhat perplexed

Neil Channing is out of the high roller just after the break

in the small blind with Jacks, he is racing A-Q

Which flops and ace and a flush draw and holds

in the main at 250-500

Tim Chung limps the small blind

John Eames makes it 1700 in the big blind

Chung 5100

Eames 12600

Chung shoves covering

Eames 50,000 calls all in

i doubt enough people are watching to get any feedback, but name the range of hands for each....
