Another tennis question to keep you occupied:

In the Open era only 3 defending champs in the Mens Grand Slams tournaments have lost in the 1st round the following year.   Rafter (US Open).  Becker (AUS Open).  Hewitt (Wimbledon).

All three shock victors went on to have solid top 50 careers (in one case a top 10 career).

Name the 3 winners.

would be guessing any more. tony roche maybe? could never win wimbledon because of Newcombe and Laver. might have won queens
