I know I am guilty of confirmation bias but when you get results like this I do think the next
President will be a woman.

Trump has energised more and more women to get involved in politics and have their say.

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/09/04/politics/massachusetts-primary-democratic-direction/index.html

I think this is a strong prediction, will depend on who runs. If Michelle Obama runs I think she's got a reasonable shout, I'd think it's too soon for her to have a shot but she might just be riled by Trump enough to have a crack at it. If it's another Hilary Clinton type candidate I think it will be much closer, and by Hilary Clinton type candidate I mean openly smug, arrogant, out of touch and openly representative of "the system".

That's an odd word. Who would use a word like that?

Had to google that one Mint, for anyone as uneducated as me:

"A star that is used to guide the course of a ship, especially the pole star."

For me it has to be a progressive candidate , Kamala Harris , Elizabeth Warren or someone who we haven't heard of yet.

I just can't see Democrats going for the tried and tested safe option of a centrist/moderate type.

These Mid terms are going to be fascinating viewing .

Fairly impressed by the level of pettiness in this.

I didn't make it clear that it's an excerpt from the NYT piece by the anonymous White House vigilante, so the inclusion of that word points at Pence. Probably a false tell included deliberately to confuse.

Step 3: "Why I am running against Trump to Save America", Mike Pence, July 2019

Pence is the only person in the White House that Trump has no power to fire.

John huntsman is leading contender for the op-ed....

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/09/new-york-times-op-ed-anonymous-writer-trump.html

Plus deep throat lawyer just got interviewed on CNN and he gave same name .

Reckon in the next 48 hours were going to find out for sure.

Barack Obama in his speech said he wants more women in charge .

Always loved the guy.

He needs to endorse Elizabeth Warren for him to reach God like status though.

Kamala Harris has done herself a lot of good in the Kavanaugh hearing, the last big Senate event before the mid-terms officially kick off the already-running Presidential race, and is now the clear favorite to win the Democrat nomination (which usually means they don't get it).

Cory Booker also performed well, but has a lot of ground to make up.

Cory Booker spent 23 minutes of his 30 minutes allotted time talking.

Suppose Americans will like his rhetoric but a bit over the top for me.

Agree Harris did well and put Kavanaugh in a few tough spots for a change.
