Gene Hackman found dead at home with his wife and dog, according to reports.

A brilliant actor.  I remember him best for being Lex Luthor in the original Superman films and the Sheriff alongside Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven.

95yo is a good innings, but the circumstances of his death seem odd at this stage.  RIP

Carbon monoxide?

Suicide pact with the dog as collateral damage?

RIP to them all. I'd forgotten Gene was in the Poseidon adventure 1972, with that big wave that filled the screen.

I'm guessing carbon monoxide too.

The latest says they were dead for some time and partly decomposed.

Found in separate rooms, him in a side room near the kitchen, her in the bathroom, (Pills scattered on the floor) the dog in a closet.

No indication of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Two other dogs alive and well.

Have the other two dogs been arrested?

I reckon the dog died from thirst because it was trapped in the closet.

I can understand humans finding it hard to come out of the closet, but never heard of dogs having the same problem.
