I am pleased to announce the TfT £12K Celebration Wimbledon Competition.

The rules are as follows:

1. Entry is FREE to those who have had a tip accepted on the "Tips for tikay" thread prior to Tuesday 21st June.

2. The competition will be run during this year's Wimbledon tennis championship from Monday 27th June to Sunday 10th July.

3. Each entrant will pick between five and ten selections in any number of the categories below. You may only pick a maximum of one selection in any category. You have a bank of £100 which you may allocate as you see fit between your bets (with a minimum of £10 per bet). Winnings will be settled on the basis of the prices that are current at 11am on Monday 27th June (as listed on Oddschecker). At least two bookies must have the best price for it to be used otherwise the second best price will be used.
Your bet may be "win only" or "each way" (where available). I will indicate the place terms once the markets are formed.

If any of your selections withdraw before the competition starts, it will be replaced with a "win only" bet on the favourite for that category.

The categories are likely to be:

Men's Winner
Men's Quarter 1 Winner
Men's Quarter 2 Winner
Men's Quarter 3 Winner
Men's Quarter 4 Winner
Women's Winner
Women's Quarter 1 Winner
Women's Quarter 2 Winner
Women's Quarter 3 Winner
Women's Quarter 4 Winner
Men's Doubles Winner
Women's Doubles Winner
Mixed Doubles Winner

4. I will post the definitive list of markets (with links to the Oddschecker pages) in the next post when they are available - probably on Friday afternoon.

5. I will be using information from http://www.wimbledon.com/ for the purpose of deciding the result of each category.

6. Entries must be posted on this thread by 11am on Monday 27th June.

7. The winner will be the person who makes most profit (or least loss) over the course of the tournament. Where two (or more) people achieve the same score, I will split the prize money evenly. There will be no tie-break conditions.

8. My decision is final in all matters (until proven otherwise).

9. If you have any questions, please post below or PM me.

The prizes are as follows:

1st     £50

2nd    £25

Have fun.

I would have chosen those terms but decided to use the titles on Oddschecker as some people get easily confused.
Therefore you should blame the shower responsible for Oddschecker. Smiley

To help you understand how this works, a typical entry might look like this.

Men's Winner
Mark Cox  £5 e/w

Men's Quarter 1 Winner
Roger Taylor  £20

Men's Quarter 4 Winner
Buster Mottram  £10

Women's Winner
Jo Durie  £10 e/w

Women's Quarter 2 Winner
Sara Gomer  £10

Women's Quarter 4 Winner
Sue Barker  £30

Remember that I will take the prices that are available at 11am on Monday.
I hope that helps!

Good luck.
