Made a late decision to play this £2150 event.

Looking to sell half my action at approximately 1.07

So:

10% = £230
5% = £125
2.5% - £62.50

Will play on Friday and only firing one bullet.

Thank you Keith, £125 paid by Bank TX this morning.

Last year's winner - Ben Winsor - collected £178,000......

...so 5% comes to just shy of £9,000. Think I'd be very pleased with that.

You are due, too, as far as I can see, the last big win you had at a Grosvenor establishment was in the old Luton room, 14 years ago;

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=1150

Bet that table could tell a tale or two.

If THM is to be believed, your last proper win was in Naps, Sheffield, 11 years ago, at this amazing table, at least 2 of whom are sadly no longer with us.....

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=14019

Apologies for that ramble down Memory Lane, sometimes I can't help myself, but what a rich source of characters, stories & anecdotes we can find by perusing THM.

2005.

DC and I were chasing around Europe playing every tin pot tournament we could (I was even spotted playing a PLO comp or two that year. Value for the rest of the field!) trying to gain ranking points for the Poker Europa "European Player Award" in the belief that the winner would be sure to scoop some eye watering sponsorship deal.

We were going head to head with some German geezer whose name I cannot recall.

The rules stated that no deals were to be done for the positions of the event to count. If you did a three way deal, whatever the terms, all 3 players would get the points for 3rd place.

Dave and I had proof this guy was doing deals where he said "You can have more money, as long as I am recorded the official winner". Totally against the rules.

But Szeremeta refused to dock him the points he cheated to gain.

DC ended up second with me third. And we ended with year very bitter taste left in the mouth!

5% plz Stars ok?

Sure thing, booked. The Camel on Stars.

5% gone by PM.

35% left.

I should have stated in the OP my reasons for deciding to play this.

This week there is also the DTD thing in the DR and the Masterclassics at Amsterdam.

Although I doubt they will have to add money (there's a 400k guarantee), the timing must have shorn this event of 30-40 of the best players.

Hoping this is top heavy with satty winners!

Also, my maths sucks beyond midnight.

5% = £115 and 2.5% = £57.50.

BOOM, I feel like a winner already.

To save messing around, can you just increase my % proportionately?

Ahh, Mr Krause no less.

I remember as if it were yesterday when he won a nice PLO event at the Master Classics in Amsterdam.

I had a lump of Simon Trumper's action, & the 2 of them got Heads Up, with Mr Germany prevailing. Simon talked me through every single hand afterwards, & at some length.....

Simon used to blog a lot then, & whilst at the table, he would hold up play every hand whilst writing copious notes of how the previous hand had played out. Never one to miss any detail, Simon.

He was a Red Pro on FTP for a while I believe.

So maybe his cheating to get the points to beat El Blondie was worth it. In his mind.

Received, thanks.

Going to try to sell the other 35% on Facebook.

Unlikely I'll play unless it sells out, don't really want to put in more than a grand.
