Five birdies for Schmelly today however they were offset by the three bogeys and a double for an even par 71.

Back into the fray with Bobby McIntyre @90/1 ew 1/5 1-7 for this week's Scottish Open.

The relatively new Renaissance course looks like a pretty tough layout just along the coast from St Andrews - hopefully there'll be a little wind to spice things up.

Small ew interests on a couple of my "convinced they'll win or go very close this season" girls Sarah Schmelzel @300/1, and Azahara  Munoz @28/1.

Okay peeps who have we pinned our hopes and wallets to for The Open Championship at Royal Portrush?

I've already placed interests in Tyrrell Hatton @150, Justin Thomas @44, Xander Schauffele @34, and Mark Leishman @75/1 ew 1/5 1-7.

I've a few more arrows in my quiver too..

I've added a few speculative longshots to my portfolio as is my wont:

Andrea Pavan @470, Joachim Niemann @370, and Chris Wood @50 top ten.

I haven't got the dates wrong have I, but there seems to be surprising lack of interest/postage about The Open.

Tyrrell Hatton top English player @16/1 ew 1/5 1-4.

One more sleep(I think)...

Just been a bit waylaid here Ralph, but I'll be watching them tee off at 0635 in the morning for sure.

Not had a bet yet, but will have a tickle on a few, certainly including Zander.

two threads is confusing

Sweats here or there?

Koepka, Rahm, Cantlay and Cabrera Bello, who is giving McIlroy some competition.  I thought I had backed Schauffele too, but if I did, I can't find it right now.  Can confirm that I definitely backed Cabrera Bello Sad

Either works Doobs. Just thought the Open deserved its own thread.

Still a firm believer that the Tiger back starts to hurt when he isn't playing so well, rather than the back causing the poor golf.
