Curtis gone. Got short and ran KQhh into KK and QQ. Turned a royal flush draw and didn't get there.

I would estimate we are going to fall just short of a medal unless engy goes mega deep but it's been a cracking effort by everybody here!

Great performance guys.  Just one off the money in fourth place. Great meeting up with everyone. Really enjoyed the weekend. See you all at the next APAT team game.

Oh.

*cough* in my defence, I'm not a holdem player and get bored very quickly when playing it, we were two hours in and I think the first bottle of red had just been finished.

You raised to 300 and I decided to defend my big blind because that's what the kids seem to do nowadays. And is very pretty. Flop is AT6 one diamond. Check, bet 500. Float is another thing these kids seem to like so let's go, plus it's only one chip. Turn , we like that. Bit of Hollywood, check, bet 1000, bit more chin scratching and it's once again only one chip.

River .

Check and the bet is now 1500 which is two chips. Hmmm.

I think for a bit and put out 5025 with two chips. Rotty and I are at opposite ends of the table and equally myopic. He thinks I've called and tables his T9 for two pair. The dealer points out the raise and whilst I'm eating the chair Rotty takes what felt like a week before eventually folding.

The case for the defence rests.

ah the "only way I'm going to win this raise"

anyway, all good and outplayed me at end, certainly I also could have had a lot less as I had been a little bit active  and also I'd had a few

Was a good weekend though even though it went wrong for me end of day 1

It was a very good weekend, didn't really manage to catch up with any of the blonde team other than I suspect the guest player in cap and glasses.

I managed to play a lot of side events though!
