How did you first ' discover ' on line poker ?
Where did you first play live / online site ?
Great tip yesterday thanks
Azine
Seeing my daughter born has always been the best night of my life
at 41 I had been a step dad twice which was good ,Steven n Robert were 5-7 when I met their mum ,they are in their 40s now ,I still have contact with one of them but they live in Worthing on the south coast so I don't see them much
It was the making of me tho ,it made me grow up ,we had some great times
my advice is to treat them all the same which I'm sure u will

I first discovered online poker by reading the poker europa magazine in napoloeans Sheffield where I first played live
I wanna say about 2001/2. £10 rebuys and £20rbs that magazine was everything to me, I'd read if from cover to cover
And idolise the Hendon mob, camel, Garry bush, Ali mallu, etc.. the first site I played on online was VCpoker (I liked the software best) about 2004
And met Moorman/pab/flushy/geeforce on their. In 2015 I was Moorman's best man, and been friends with flushy and pab for a good 11 years and always get on with GeForce wherever we meet. A great group to get a grounding in poker

We all lived for that magazine, even though it was, astonishingly, printed in 3 languages, so two thirds of it was repeated info we could not even read.

First thing I did was look inside the back cover to read El Blondie's column, then scanned the Results section. 7th place in a tenner rebuy and we had our name in a magazine, yay.

Naps Sheffield was amazing, & when the big boys came up - Camel, Colclough, Bushy, Joe Beevers, Shipley, Julian or Dave Gardner, Jac Arama (!) etc, we thought it was just great.

Naps Sheffield (Owlerton) is still the only venue I've played in which had a 200 denom tournament chip, too. Mind you, all the chips would stick together, unriffleable, as they were so filthy.

Those crazy £10 re buys and Sheffield festivals at Naps

My first ever live tournament I agreed to meet Connor Tate who was Sealey from Ladbrokes so bear in mind I didn't know anybody at my first table I was sat inbetween a very chirpy Lawrence Gosney and CT Law (rip )opposite was Dave Gardner and a chap with a big cigar and a massive fan I later found out was George Geary (rip also)..Mr Gosney never shut up and we have subsequently a lot of fun over the years winding each other up.

For the festivals I got to know Tikay and from Nottingham Julian T and a fresh faced Wadey  and the standard Camel and Colclough.

Unfortunately the owners of Naps took liberties with the poker players (loads of things wrong )and the likes of myself stopped going

Great times even though we were packed like sardines in the smokiest environment ever

Nice read - Congrats on the new addition, have an 8 month old boy myself so can relate - It's definitely not easy, but obviously amazing at same time.  Sounds like you're doing great.

Shrewd and Star Rider are my bets in the stayers race and also like Watchable.... GL us 👍

I've topped up on shrewd.

Meeting camel and his young son Jake who is just brilliant
Tomorrow at York, will try and get a few pics of the day.

Did a book on tonight's poker after dark sng

Odds for poker after dark $25k sng

Kassouf 4/1
Matusow 7/1
Shulman 4/1
Berky 7/2
David wiliams 7/2
JRB 6/1

They were my final prices and I've basically just laid David Williams
At 5/1 and 4/1 for about £450' total so him winning is a nightmare and will leave me very grumpy
Personally fancy berrkyy and he's the skinner so gl him

I had a feeling Keith(+Jake) might be joining you tomorrow.

Fascinating race The Juddmonte - I also ended up onside with Churchill after changing my mind several times.

Have a good day.

Well it's the only one of the big 4 that could be a lot better
Than the others. The other 3 woulda been in a line in the eclipse
And I'm just a bit dubious how good they all are.

You forgetting Barney Roy and Churchill aren't that far apart either?  Think it might be a no bet race, though might just back Cliffs of Moher as he is biggest.

Both PP and Hills showing fifth first 3 in the International.  Not sure what to make of it.  Seems strange they would make the same mistake, but it can't be right?  I have checked both sites and oddschecker is showing the info from the original sites.

Who knows with all the crazy each way terms you see these days.  I am no longer sure what is normal.  I'd happily take Cliffs of Moher at 11/2, fifth first 3 if right.

Been backing watchable all year and surely got to hit soon.

Hoping Moment spearheads an arrowhead and watchable comes down the outside  cutting across as he does so taking out half the field.

Enjoy your day.
