Similar here every now n again me n the Mrs on a night in have a competition to see who can make £30 last the longest / spin it up online slots at Genting
There's only ever one winner ??
Genting correct but we get through a couple of bottles of wine n have a laugh
This then prompts a flurry of e mails morning n evening from Genting
Getting pissed off at their refusal to unsubscribe,I've started forwarding the e mails back to Genting and the gaming commission
Mysteriously after 3 weeks of this bollox they've stopped
That's at least 5 weeks of constant barrages by e mail ,even tho unsubscribe says 10-14 days to come into effect
For those with problems it seems to me the companies only seek to tempt people to keep playing

Well at least Wednesday won to lift the mood at the end of your day.

Agree with your discomfort about the amount of gambling advertising on TV atm. Like advertising booze in AA meetings. I spend too much time in the local Coral, and often get wound up by punters cursing at the roulette wheels when they're really under it. Even if they get ahead, the majority end up putting it all back. None of the staff come out to them & point out the "When the fun stops, stop" poster.

When I left school after A-levels and got thrown out of uni (for runnng a book) 😂 I went to work at hills in 2002.
I was in one of the roughest parts of Sheffield manor top. The machines had been in the bookies about 2 years i reckon but we only
Had two at the time and still 2 bandits. One day a local hard nut comes in wins about £400 from the machine and pops off for a bit.
He returns about 2 hours later and blows the £400 in about half an hour. I was in the shop on my own at this point due to already aquiring the assistant managers role which gave me about 50p pH more but allowed them to take liberties with me. The bloke decides to start spitting at the machine unplugged it threw it over kicked it until the screen was through then try and open it up with knife. Told me if I ring the police I'd be dead. It was only a group of old fellas coming in that halted it all and he gave it a couple more spits then left. Although a hard nut the guy was previously very
Polite and a nice guy. This highlighted what these machines can do to people.

Yes great win for Wednesday, first 15 mins was best we've played for 2 years. Core of the team is really good but not convinced in a lot
Of the recent signings

Shattered, grinded midday finished 5.30am which usually means a sick bink
But I lost about 2k on the session 24th/2kish in the 160 888 with 60k up top KK loses
To QQ for 3rd in chips sigh. There comes a point in a structure where it's too slow it causes less poker
To be played and I think these festivals dance on that line

Apart from the sales race, in which it makes sense to run as the pot is huge the fields for
Ladies day at donny are the smallest I can remember. And some every trappy races in which the ground will
Play a big part. Will be in the owners and trainers so gonna try and chat Richard hannon up with regards to whether
Tajannus will like the ground and if he prefers her to billsdon brook

Bit of a tradition, been to Ladies Day for last 25 years with the lads. Usually end up in that 70's or 80's bar in town opposite manana manana dancing to build me up buttercup and the like. Then a taxi back to Sheffield, up Eccy Road finishing off the night playing cash when I'm smashed :-)

If I see you I will say hello and buy that drink I owe for the winners on here.

We usually do the champagne lawn after then head to town but with it supposed to piss it down
We're off about 6pm in a car back to Dronfield for a Chinese. Hope to see you there.

Had 2 bets today

Small one on George duffields mount in the legends race. Just finished his autobiography
And loved it, he still rides out 4 times a week even though he's 70 years old. Also like the horse
Has half decent maiden form and one of the unexposed ones in the line up. Bout 7/1 seems fair but few
Firms opened 16/1 yesterday afternoon I was just a bit slow to grab it.

Had a bigger bet on air of Avalon in the 4.10 prescotts newcomer will go well here and is a nice horse 7/2 in a weak
Maiden looks good to me.
