I was very surprised by the overlays in all the side events.

Did everyone just do their brains in the Colossus the week before? Was it because of no direct satties to the side events and people don't like the PPL$ system? People prefer to go do Dublin this week?

I was going to go for a few events, but every man and his dog seems to be remortgaging this month.

I just paid in cash at the club, though can't say PPL$ makes it clearer.  Maybe some are comfused by them and assume they can't pay cash?  I am pretty crap at keeping in touch, but I had forgotten all about it until a week ago.  I really only get excited by the WSOP these days.

I blame Brexit Smiley

given you can expense hotels aswell as buyin with PPL, and the huge amounts of value in the guaranteed PPL sats they are running, I can only think that they had a positive influence on numbers in general. I was genuinely surprised at how many people had traveled from abroad to play.

Indeed, was very impressed by the Norwegian number plate in the car park. On a Tesla.

That actually belongs to a total hero who used to be a dealer at DTD and now does the chip room at a bunch of tour stops, so that was a staff member :p

who is the fella between stato and the champ.   He was sat on my table all day.   Seemed a nice fella and decent at O8.  He looked vaguely familar but I am terrible with faces.

Dark blue shirt & beige jacket?

That's Basharat Mahmood, usually known as "Bash" or "Basha".

God knows how many cashes he has had at DTD, & before that, at Gala Notts, could run into hundreds. I rarely saw him elsewhere.

Looks like he's lost a bunch of weight, he had quite the pot belly last time I saw him.

Here's his THM;

I was trying to work out who the fella to the other side of Stato was, with the glasses. Sure I've seen him around a few times. Reminded me of RichEO at first, whom I haven't seen for a number of years.

I was disappointed with myself that I could only name 4.

Seems too young to be RichEO. Wonder what he is up to these days?
