Thanks so much guys. Don't think there's a decision to change today.

10k stud8 tomorrow.

I incorrectly wrote yesterday that I'll play the $10,000 limit Holdem on Wednesday 3rd July. I won't. I'll play the $10,000 limit Holdem on Tuesday 2nd July. Let me know if you see me more as Wednesday rather than Tuesday player and want out Smiley

$10,000 stud hilo

I played one, and then one more.

First time I had a great hand on poor board; second hand, I made a poor hand relative to a great board.

First hand we split. I make the unlikely full house of

( ) (), but get half against

(864) 722x

The second hand is interesting. He has an obvious low hand. I go to the river showing the very threatening

(xx) ,

against what must be a low hand of (xx)8644, but actually have the minimum for my hand

( ) .

It's important to not think about the times that he is low, as obviously the split pots don't matter. In stud8, you must ignore the bulk of likely but irrelevant standard spots, and only take into account the few relevant ones- So what is important here are specifically the times that he makes two low pair, and I don't improve on my one pair. Then I must bluff, and it's really tough for him to call with his two pair.

I actually made the two pair myself, with

( ) (),

and he did indeed tank-fold. And I think the tank fold can only be exactly that hand, two low pair

$10,000 stud hilo

There's only been one massive pot, and sadly it included me folding the river.

Went three way to sixth. Mercier had an obvious trips with (xx)KJTQ, putting in the action despite seat one's (xx)A23T and my board of (xx)4567

My actual hand was (two hearts ) (made 7 low). I had to call down to try to make my hand. A straight would be likely good if it faded Mercier's house draw (his current hand must be trip jacks, rather than than a straight)

I actually caught an irrelevant trip sixes, (two hearts ) (). Despite looking good, there was 0.0% chance it was good for high. I had to make absolutely sure that my low wasn't good, given that there was 36k in the pot. I folded,  and he did indeed have

(75)A23TJ, to have me just pipped.

Mercier housed up with (JJ)KJQT(K)
