$3000 limit six max
Hit a nice mini rush, 27k
Raise UTG five handed with 44. Flop a set on 94278 rainbow. He check raises the flop. I actually decide to flat it, and get a raise in on the river. It is reluctantly called.
Raise A9 UTG four handed. Blinds calls. Board is AQ2 hh 6x 8x. Small blind calls three streets.
116 in the field so far (my guess is therefore 180)

Got (very slightly) OOL for the first time.
Raise
at 200-300 on the button. Big blind three bets. I think he is the limit Holdem specialist in a group of opponents who are NLHE players.
I decide to four bet. It has the small advantage of discouraging some future three bets. It only costs 300, and will gain enough times where I can pick up a turn fold by betting twice.
He had
. What actually happened was quite strange. He just flatted (understandable) but decided to lead all three streets on
A standard call down for me. But the interesting thing is that it would seem that he, by leading, attaching no weight to the fact that I may be four betting light with an intention to barrel
Won a couple of small ones since. Up to 29k (starting 20k)

Second break, 59,500 (20k starting). Wow, a fairly ridiculously nice hour's heater. The highlights were:
Raise AJ UTG and get three streets on AJ8Q8
3bet KQ UTG1, BB cold calls and raises me on AJ4 bdfd. I call and get lucky on AJ4T, and then actually even river a flush too.
Bluff Grapes three streets on Q34 ddd 4x 9x. I have raised 87 CO, and suspect he has called the SB with enough Khigh with a diamond, to add in to the small chance he will fold Ahigh or a small PP on the river.
Table is now six handed. 152 entries (Revised guess, 190)

In the course of the hour where the deck hit me in the face, seat 2 (the limit holdem specialist) took basically the whole brunt of it.
He's taken it fairly well overall, but has complained about my luck on the last couple. I didn't quite catch it, but it was something like "obviously an ace can just never be good against this guy," on the AJ8Q8 hand.
He raised CO at 300-600, I three bet
. He four bet, I called. It left him 3,100 (Big bet is 1,200).
He checks both flop and turn behind, and the river is
.
It looks fairly good for a bluff, getting just over 4-1 on said bluff, because;
- Giving myself a three-bet range pre is now crucial. If gives me two Broadway cards almost all the times that I don't have a pocket pair.
- He bets most hands including a king, at least by the turn
But I think it's significant enough that we're now adding:
- He may start to believe in my luck. If he's a limit holdem specialist, clearly he won't actually hold the belief that luck has a memory, but I think it can become subconscious.
I bet, he gives another speech that I didn't quite catch, and folds
face up

Wow it continues. 94k. It's been too intense to write the hands, and I'm probably not going to remember pat of them. But from memory
Raise KK UTG, BB defends. He check raises me on JT4, I call and bink JT4K2. He has TT
Raise QTss, button on Grapes' Big blind. I threebet when he check raises on Ks9s6x. Bet the turn and bink the river of Ks9s6x7x8x
Three bet A9 from BB on Grapes' button raises, and get a fold on KQ86 turn
Watson opens, CO 3bets, I 4bet AA on button. Watson gives me three streets on QT4Q4
Let's go

Up to 108,500. Took some of Jesus' chips with K6 on QT654 and KQ on K65Q ( he folded turn)
An interesting one before that.
All of this is standard....
I raise
at 500-1000 on the cutoff. Small blind three bets. Big blind has 5,500 and cold-calls the three bet. I call
Flop is
. SB bets, BB calls, I raise. SB three bets, big blind undercalls all-in.
Thats the end of the standard actions.
Turn is
. SB bets. At this point there is basically no doubt that the SB has AT or better. Obviously I have far more than the price to call the turn-. I have 14 outs alot, and 5 outs most of the rest of the time
I actually decide to use my equity to semi bluff, by raising the turn, with the plan to bluff the river. I am using the fact that there is a large dry side pot, which should make my action more honest. He's never going to fold the turn with AT/JJ+, but there is enough of a chance, albeit small, that he will fold the river.
I miss on
. I now bluff, and he does call and has
Now this is definitely not a complaint against the third all-in player, and probably didn't affect the pot, but is a general thought. By the time the river is dealt, the all-in player has
put it beyond any doubt that he knows he is out. He has basically stood up and is shaking his head The reason that it's not a complaint at all is that so many people do it without thinking, even if they make it slightly less obvious
The problem is it definitely could affect the pot.
On one hand, if the other player and I both had weaker hands, but with showdown value, then it could let down my bluff, as the bluff loses a bit of its power when my opponent knows that the third player can't win. On the other hand, there could be an instance like the seating position meaning only I see, and therefore that I gain more information to bluff. Basically, a few different things happen that shouldnt.
The interesting thing is that I don't think the spot is often recognised. It's the only spot where actually making it obvious that you know you're out doesn't affect you at all (a one-round penalty wouldn't hurt too much for a player with no chips!) but is important for the overall game.

Cheers guys. Hour til end of the day. Won a cheeky one Vs Rob Campbell
He opens SB, I three bet
in the big.
Flop
. He checks, I bet, he check-raises. I decide to call, and to raise a blank turn card, to represent that I have trapped a king.
Instead the turn is significant
He bets. I raise, standard with the equity of 15 outs
River is the lovely
.
He checks, I bet. Definitely some fear that he will raise. If he does, it's likely awful news of a flush. But he just calls.
