$2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball

Ouch

OUT

Coasted around 70k for a long time, but a brutal 25 minute period after the break got us.

End was in triple draw.

Raised (xx)832 on the button, to 5k from 11k.

SB 3bets. Call

He draws 1, I draw 2.

He auto bets, we put the 3k in.

We're now doing the last two draws without betting

He draws 1. Good news.  I have 'made T9832.'

From this point, I had two decisions, which I at least was happy to get right. But, to no avail.

Did the maths- if I stand pat- assuming he is drawing to 20 of 44 outside to make it, that makes him almost exactly 33% to not hit it. That will be slightly better for me than if I go 2 vs 1 over the next two draws.

So, I pat

His one leads to... Him patting

Very bad news.

I now have to consider whether its a break attempt from him. But, it would be audacious, it would have to be with a Jack.

So, I break, despite the really bad shape I am in.

It was at least right. He has 87632

Need two good ones...

No good. First card is a 9.

Unpleasant times. Just got to keep on going. Millionaire maker tomorrow

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

Nice start. Up to 75,200 now (from 25k)

8 handed at 400-800(800), flat raise to 1.8k with JcTc from CO vs UTG1. Big blind comes along.

two spades

Checked to me. I guess I'm at least double barrelling. Bet small, 1.5k into 5.6k.

BB fold,  UTG1 call.

Turn is nice

two spades .

He checks. We've got an SPR just over 3. This feels like a check behind. He almost definitely didn't slowplay anything on the flop. I guess we're just against a bluff catcher (albeit blocking TT) most of the time. And maybe there's some hands he turns into a bluff on the river.

Check

two spades

He now leads 6k. Fairly confusing. Guess he now has KQ a bunch. Our 3rd nuts is a nice third nuts, given we block (AcJc, AcTc, KcJc and KcTc).

I move in, for 24k over 6k, presuming  that we're putting KQ in a tough spot most of the time.

He puts his head in his hands. Good news, I guess; it probably is KQ.

Long tank into the break, and he does call.  What he actually has is 55, for a turned cooler.

That took us up to 52k....

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

We then win two races..

Tens in the big.

At 400-800(800), lowjack, who has seemed very active, raises to 1.8k from 16k. Three call, making for a lovely spot.

I shove. Lowjack tank calls, so I hoped there might be prospect of good news...  but he has AK

About a 38k race, and we emerge good on

three diamonds

Few minutes later..

Hijack raise to 1.6k at 400-800(800), German in the SB moves in for 11k. We have tens, and we are 68k deep. I decide that I can 4bet to fold  if bad news comes from the hijack, and so click it to 20.4k. Hijack folds and we are all in with....

vs

Brings the classic sweat, but puts him ahead. But, we get there, and stay there, on

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

Really nice now. 83,500

Carl Shaw joins, as a late entry. Won't be battling at all, I imagine he won't be playing scared.

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

A failed triple barrel attempt. Think I'm fine with it.

Raise KhQh lowjcak to 2.1k at 500-1000. SB and BB call.

Bet small. 2.2k into 7.3k. Small blind calls fairly quickly.

.

SB checks. Feels that a fold is unlikely,  but we just have so much equity. 7.5k into 11.7k. Call

Giving up almost every river. But, the one river comes which we don't give up on..

He checks. We're obliged. 13.5k into 26.7k....

He's fairly new, and I judged as looking grinder-ish, but his demeanour in the tank proves that wrong. And so does the hand he calls with

Sigh. Would do the same again. Give us a top pair river one time.

Got 51,200 at 1k-2k

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

Carl Shaw and his left hand side opponent play a 6 bet pot.  Kind of table to sit tight at.
