$1,500 Millionaire Maker

Boom, really nice. Happy with the decision.

Down to 38k, I have the beautiful  , folded to my hijack. Raise to 4k.

Button is a French reg. Seems good. Makes it 10k.

Obviously all the usual factors either way,  but I decide to flat. It works very nicely, as he has Ks9s

The run out is beautiful.

, for a wonderfully dry flop

Check. He bets just 6k, into 25k. Means he is sizing aware, as suspected. Call

goes check-check

And that is wonderful.  Not for the probably unnecessary top house, but for the fact that he now has to continue if it is the case that he had a given-up-on-barrel

It is. He puts me in, and has the . Like his action every street, just real run good for me

$1,500 Millionaire Maker

Ah, I think I missed a bluff on Hallert.

UTG raise to 4.5k, and UTG1 call. I have , and peel button. Hallert call BB.

two hearts. Checked to me. Close, but I think I just about ha a bet.  9k into 21k. Just Hallert call.

two hearts . I'm giving up on the barrel currently.

two hearts .

He checks. I have 60k into 39k.

It was close. I think I maybe have bet

1) Jack obviously of some significance, gives me some top pair and some KQ. Doesn't do much for his range.

2) His check is obviously very significant.  I am likely to  have showdown value (even alot of my nut flush draws are AJ and AT), that he just has to value bet the top of his range.  Stack sizes are unattractive for him to check raise all in for value.

The main factor against it is that he may well find what would be a 'good' check raise bluff all in, with something like the he did, albeit I suspect it would be very unbalanced.

But I think I should fire. Sigh.

Check behind, and he has

60,200

Finished for day. 67,500.

Disappointed with the river check vs Hallert, but otherwise felt OK

Schedule update

So, tomorrow gives us a rare free day. Having missed three bullets in this (can we count that as a cash 😀?), and the super turbo bounty, and the PPC satellite, it feels like it makes sense to add a one dayer. Would anyone who has a piece like to vote between

1) The $1,100 Pot Limit Omaha Eight or better at the Venetian

2) The $1,100 No Limit holdem at the Wynn

Go with whatever you want to play

Great news about the 12 hour sleep. I think you definitely needed the “recharge”.
I’m happy with either choice. Go with your head.

$1,100 Venetian PLO 8 or better

So, by a score of 4 to 2, the vote was won by the PLO 8 or better. Just getting to the Venetian...

Right, we are in. Took a while to sign up for a player's card, because this is actually my first time ever playing at Venetian.

Numbers are...

159 entrants. 30k to start. In at 600-1200.

Hmm. Made a correct laydown.

Button pot to 4.2k, small blind call, we call the big blind with

Two Diamonds two spades

Flop is  two hearts

It's bottom set, and 5th nut low. But, given the possibility of a counterfeited Deuce, its not at all impossible that the low is good.

We both check, button moves in, for his 5.4k, into 13.8k. Small blind fairly quickly calls.

So, we're getting near 4 to 1 immediately. However, obviously the problem is that the small blind with likely put us in on the turn. It's effectively a decision for all the chips now.

I decide to fold.

Small blind actually has flopped a true monster.

He has , for the flopped nut nut.

(I would actually have got monster lucky and somehow scooped it all, with a board pair and an Ace to counterfeit, but that's irrelevant)

25,600 at 1.2k big blind.
