Barely concealed animosity between tournament director and now seriously over-excited-looking Rafi (on 1,379,000, with Vinny now on 286,000), as he insists on a break to sort his chips out, having been standing a few feet away watching his blinds drift out, while trying to get the dealer to 'shuffle more'.  A crowd has suddenly formed as if drawn by the tension, and this will surely have broken the slow spell of earlier tonight.

Cheers everyone for congratulations for Simon Trumper - I am sure he's delighted to have so many supporters, and we all wish him luck in further events

WOW - the temperature is indeed rising as Vinny Vinh seems to join the losing-the-plot club, suggesting they make it winner-takes-all, and telling Rafi "You need to play twenty more years to play PL with me!"  No deals, says the harried tournament director.  How exciting.

So far the chip lead is still firmly with Rafi, having taken down a 200,000 pot, although V.V. insists he's confident he can win.  I'm not sure how traditional it is to have a cheer-louder popularity vote at this stage of a tournament, but it's all gone a bit weird down here.

In response to the question, Vinny got about 100,000 in blinds.

Cheers!  Running on fumes and coffee but it's all got so interesting suddenly.....

Slight correction - I implied that the crucial house vs house hand got all the chips in on the turn, but actually they were all in on the flop when Vinny only had three .

There was another all-in pot on the board of two hearts , where both players had flopped the straight with 3 4, but Vinny was freerolling the hearts.  A non-heart King on the river split this potentially damaging hand.

Amazingly, tempers have been brought under control... it's now 3.15am local time and Vinny is slowly clawing chips back - latest count puts him around 400,000.  A couple of interesting hands got to the river, such as the Q 4 3 3 6 board from which Rafi had turned the full house, and Vinny rivered the straight with a 2 5.  Rafi checked the river, Vinny bet 70,000 and he just flat called....

Blinds 8000 16000, going up in ten minutes.

Just a note that the tournament director, named Jack Effel, has had to deal with all the temper tantrums and pass down firm but consistent judgements on this final table and has been doing it non-stop these past many hours.  He is also a pretty deadpan MC for the final table and sounds like he's seen it all...and probably has.  It is good to have someone announcing what is happening as a lot of backs are in my way now that the players threated fireworks.  Pity there are no cameras.
