Jen you've gone and empowered the women in our office - they think girlies can play cards now!  Wink

Best of luck tomorrow.

And quite right too - there is absolutely no reason that women players can't play men players.  Unless they don't want to sit in big rooms full of men.  But if there were more of them playing, then that wouldn't be the case.  We have a catch 22 situation, and FAR more women could be winning the lot.  But then again, I have a bit of bee-in-bonnet thing about getting congratulated for things like "being the last woman in" because sometimes that is the case right from the outset; I sit down with that honour...

Anyway, I hope your office ladies get a game together.  And kick your arse. Flushy says that isn't too hard in any case.

Jen

Nah I'm pretty shite.  Got a bit of a shock there.  For one moment I thought Flushie had gone a bit mental on me.

No need to defend the female of the species - tongue was firmly in cheek.  Smiley

Now go be deadlier than the men!  I doubt anyone in the field has a bigger crowd of supporters.

Greg Raymer getting a little heated.

After 2 limpers, he raised from 300 to 1300, as he threw in his chips a freak thing happened, the 3 x 100 chips obscured his 1k chip from the rest of the table.

Alan Betson announces call from the SB and puts 150 in, Greg then points out he raised and Alan wants to now take his 150 back. TK!!!!!!!!

The big man bowls in, he makes the common sense ruling that the 150 should be allowed to be taken back, given the freak placement of the chips.

Post rulling the multi millionaire didnt seem to happy about the loss of 150 (i guess $5,000,000 doesnt go very far these days....)

Infact he made it very clear while big TK was still by the table that it is a bad ruling and even if the dealer had announced 150 he would expect to have still had it left in the pot. Big TK looked as if he was about to say something but then just gazed down at Raymer and walked off. Does he ever get in an arguement?

I just spoke to fossilboy about it and contrarily he said he had no problem with the ruling, that it was common sense and the right decision.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
