Just found Gavin Crawley (team Gutshot) in the corridor, having just busted out.  The deciding factor in his demise was the Table Move, whereby his supertight image he had built for the preceding 6 hours was dissolved and he found himself between a couple of very large stacks who were raising every pot.  Suddenly on 16000 he felt a bit short stacked, which probably led to the resulting way of betting 10 J suited on the button.  The big blind called, and they saw the K 9 8 flop.  B.B. checked, and Gavin checked, which he reckons with his hindsight-glasses on might not have been the best move.  Nevertheless, the turn brought an 8 and when Gavin raised the BB's bet all-in for a large 15,000, he wasn't too happy to get a call and see A8.  The river brought no help and that's where I met him in the hall.  I think in another couple of days he might be found in another event, though...

Have the ESPN cameras found Latif yet?! Sure he'd get his own show with them for the next two days if they did....

Paul Lagan, who qualified on William Hill, has been moved somewhere central where Tikay could spot him holding fast on a respectable 29,000 - good luck to him as they get a little closer to the end of Day 1. A.  About 90 tables left

I'm out! Sad

Hand 1 - I have AK suited v a guy who 30 minutes before called a 8000 bet on the turn with an underpair on a 4599 board! He has KK this time and takes me down to 11000.

Soon after v the same guy i have KK and this time he has AA..... bonus. Probably the most frustrating last 5 hours of poker in my life. Saw some of the worst plays i have ever seen at a poker table.

I HATE POKER!

There's no denying that's on the un side of lucky Milkybarkid.  Surely you can't hate poker (well, OK in the short term).  Sometimes you wait and ait and wait and then big hands turn up in the wrong place, or two places at once....

Back after the break and it looks possible if not 100% that this will be the last level of the day...

Gus Hansen news now - having floundered around 5000 for most of the day has made it up to about 11,000 which is enought for him to start raising 1200 every hand.  He does his usual button raise and this time the lady in the b.b. comes over the top covering him.  She has QQ but he has AA and she says something like "You've done that to my blind for hours and I've waited for a hand to catch you with and you have Aces!"  So now he's on 30,000 - watch out day 2

Simon Nowab out - with a raise and call in front of him preflop he found Queens and pushed all-in.  The AK called, and caught a King on the turn - unlucky after a long day's play

81 tables left, I believe.  People are getting a bit shouty as they have been playing for 12 hours and Tikay informs me that some of them have been steadily drinking beer throughout that time.  I salute their stamina.
