Increase the buyin.

how would increasing the buy in improve the structure of the event?

Snoopy

Can you remember the last time the Vic had a major tourney?

We had a similar thread then re structure, and correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt that one 45 min clock?!?!

I would think that The Vic must take norice (if it is indeed the Vic that have set the structure), but will they?? In a word.... No - Not until they have such a poor turnout - will that ever happen? Again I think No.

Take what Blue Square have done on Tribecca,,,, for ages people who play there have been screaming for a higher buyin f/o with a better structure. So Blue Square lay on a $3.5 guaranteed $100 f/o - which has yet to make the guarantee!! - Go figure

The Deckster has 36,000, and, who else... ah yes Jeff Rogers has 30,000 - sorry we didn't keep very good track of him to begin with.

Blinds are now 500 - 1,000 with a 50 ante, and this, I believe, is the last level of the night.

Sorry for a little bit of quiet there, just a Vodafone hiccup, nothing serious.

So the rent is 2,000 per orbit, after 6 hours, with a starting stack of 10k? Eeekk.....Gonna have to get busy tomorrow it seems!

Ben here....

Colchester Kev has arrived and is livening up the place with some quality one liners..

He is trying to persuade Jon Raab to sponsor him claiming he has blue square tattoed on his p*n*s. LOOOOOOOOOL

John Kabbaj took a BIG setback just before the last break. on a   Two Diamonds board. it went bet  raise re raise re raise all in from some mystery German geezer who has never heard of the great Thomas 'Buzzer' Bihl. John took 8 minutes before deciding that his hand wasn't good enough. I personally think John was on a re steal and didn't have anything, but then again im not sure the German geezer had anything either. They had been at loggerheads for hours and this pot was inevitable. The pot was around 70k and propels the German fella to the chip leader with 110k.

John however is not so well off and is down to 20k or so.

Barny Boatman is struggling on 10k and Blondie is well poised with a shade over 20k.

chow for now, im handing you over to Jen

By increasing the buyin, it reduces the size of the field therefore alllowing more flexibility in terms  of adjusting the structure.

Forewarned is forearmed.  Not that you have problems getting busy with slower structures though... remember Helsinki Wink
