Tim Flanders just absorbed a smaller stack after he went all-in on an board. Tim showed: Matey showed: . The turn: The river: . Looks harmless? Look again! Straight - and another seat is open.

And Robert Varkonyi is OUT - He raised an amount that left him no choice but to call his neighbour's all-in with his - with only 6k and 400 - 800 blinds your options are a bit limited. But it turned out his neighbour had - and he politely wished the group luck and exited. I was just getting to have a chat with him about blonde, and he gave me a funny business card thing with his head in the Ace of spades when it all went wrong. Ah well, I'll catch up with him next time...

Just like last night, this hour brings a flurry of eliminations as everyone starts to consider themselves a bit short stacked. Except maybe Kevin O'Connell who has 45,000 and is most likely chip leader.

This fella in the bluesquare gear is David Gent, whose face (but sadly not name) I remembered from Helsinki. He's turned his online qualification into average chips at the moment and seems to have put his discount tourney entry to very good use...

Plenty, but he's not playing and it would seem a bit rude to give him a 20 minute penalty from dinner.

Here's hand model Mr. Raab providing a lovely backdrop for Robert Varkonyi's funny business card thing. It looks like he's wearing a pointy black jumper.

Ash Hussain is currently sitting on 19.8k, which isn't good enough seeing as the average chip count is 20,100!

no, she's on channel 4 at the moment. I'll only get confused if she's on my telly and my computer at the same time

************BREAK************
Sorry, thought we ought to explain our momentary quietness. We've got Paul Garnham right here who just narrowly avoided moving his shortish stack right into another big blind...
Also sitting on around average chips is Vicky Coren who just a little while ago had 4k more. Good time to have a break, regather oneself and not worry about previous hands... on with the next round!
