This hand just happened on the WPT final table at the bellagio.

i just had a convo with a mate to think what Van Alstyne could actually have here...

obviously i don't know but id like to see what people think he has...

James Van Alstyne is on the button and Claus Nielsen raises in 2nd position to $385,000.

Van Alstyne and Joe Bartholdi both call and the flop comes

Bartholdi bets $600,000 and Nielsen folds. Van Alstyne raises to $1,600,000 and Bartholdi calls.

The turn is the  and Bartholdi checks. Van Alstyne bets $1,400,000 and Bartholdi again calls.

The river is the and Bartholdi checks again. Van Alstyne checks behind him and Bartholdi turns over    for two pair. Van Alstyne mucks his hand

i reckon i could narrow it down to his exact hand, but you will never find out until the TV coverage, how annoying!

looks like im thinking along the right lines as you then flushy...

for him to check the river behind Claus Nielsen, he must have had a piece of the board, if he had nothing, hes gona bet the river when its checked to him aswell.

so my guess is 56 suited and was playing his open ended straight draw.b
