It seems Julian has been watching Brian a little too much. He was probably 1st out of the Main Event when his 7c-4h was no match for As-Ac. In all fairness to Julian he was unlucky. Matey boy makes it 175 to go with the blinds at 25/50. It's Julian's BB and he calls, the flop is 3s-4s-7s. Julian check raises him only for the raiser to re-raise, so Julian pushes and Mateyboy calls. Unfortunatley a spade falls on the turn to give matey boy a flush. I must say Julian is top class, he didnt moan about his beat he didnt let it upset him, although he was obviously disappointed to be out after he has been playing so well all week. The guy is a real profesional. I also owe Julian a big thank you as there was a $300 limit comp last night and he bought a large piece of me that meant I could play .

After he got knocked out I offered to buy him a drink so we went to the bar. After a beer we decided to go for a swim in the sea and then on to the pool bar for more beers. After a while we went to get changed and back to the poker room to see how Brian and co were getting on. I bumped into Brian walking the other way. He got knocked out with 7-7 on a 6 high board against K-K. The guy with kings almost put them down to Brian as he knew Brian plays rubbish cards and could have a big piece of it. Brian already made the same guy lay 9-9 down on a 8 high board.

My limit comp was a little unsuccesful as I finished about 35th. I got damaged when i had 2 pair and check raised on every street only for matey boy to river the nut straight. I probably made my best lay down when i folded K-K on a 7 high flop. I raised under the gun, all fold around to the SB who calls, BB re-raises and I re-raise again, SB calls and the BB called. Flop is 2h-6c-7d, the SB leads out and I think he must have hit a set, BB raises so I put him on A-A and fold. They get it all-in and I was spot on. A little later I hit quad aces and have people betting into me Cheesy.

It is my 1st day in the Main Event today and I havent decided how to play it yet. I'm normally quite tight live, maybe too tight. I've picked up some tips from Brian so I'm going to give them a try. I'm not going to be as aggressive as him but i need to try new things so here goes. Brian has promised to be my personal railbird today so that will be cool Cool.

Tonight Julian and Brian clash in the pro challenge with both of them promising to run over the other one so it should be good fun. Best of luck to both of them as 2 go through to the final.

I will let you know how it all goes. I shall probably be sat here tomorrow typing that I was knocked out with 7-4 or something like that.

Good luck all.
