I was googling poker in January 2005 (new addictive hobby1) and found the old blonde main site...yellow background etc...

I emailed the old fella and said "are you going to do a forum?"

he replied "yes, soon. Can i tell you about the 11.07 this morning from Derby to St Pancras?"

on 31/01/05 I signed up, and here I am.

That is incorrect. It was the 11.04. There never was an 11.07 to St Pancras from Derby. I am on the 09.04 tomorrow, I'm excited already. Stops at Leicester only, then non-stop all the way.

er........is that to give everyone else the chance to get off ?

To be honest, many of us "get off" on trains, so to speak.

And, in turn, it as me who introduced Chili to blonde. I had become friends with her at Gala, & liked her company. It was only a year or more later that I had a shock - it turned out she was a female. I'd just not noticed.

Apparently. There are clues, I'm told.

Nutters......   Yes for me it was Tikay, think I overheard him the week before talking to someone about the site, so I sneakily logged in and lurked for a week.  The next week we got chatting but didnt know he was Tikay, so I told him there was someone called Tikay who posts all the time on all the threads (good job I didn't slag him off).  So he said "yes, that would be me" and the rest as they is history.

I sat next to the blonde one in the £500 freeze at walsall for most of the day on new years day 2005, he was scribbling hands on a pad and mumbling about some lazy old sod that couldn't get out of bed and that he'd made a big mistake and was gonna have to do all the work himself etc.

Anyway he mentioned the site and i spotted the forum sometime later, that tourny report is still on the main site somewhere, chubbs won it (and the £300 the day before lucky sod) blonde one was 3rd i think and i was out first hand of the final sigh.........

Actually, it was not New Years Day 2005, it was January 2nd 2005......

But the rest is correct, he did make a mistake in selecting his blonde business partner, I am a lazy sod!

That's aboot the 6th Post in this thread which refers to an "old man", or grandad". One of them even suggested a "dribbling" old geezer.....

Enough, the lot of you, I can still go like a bloody train.
