RIP Barry. What a colossus you were of British comedy writing. An absolute master whose wit and humour were timeless. He’d just started to make podcasts, and his conversation with Danny Baker in the first episode is well worth a listen.

Said to the family, Barry Cryer died today, they said "Who?". "You've laughed at his jokes" I said then Wiki'd who he wrote for and it was more amazing than I thought. RIP

What a shock. By chance, I watched a 1 hour Shane Warne documentary just 2 nights ago on NetFlix or Prime, very good it was too. Just wow.

He was there at the height of pace bowling and couldn't have been any more different. Wrist spin is like some arcane dark art, he did it with so much personality and panache. Has to be one of the most important cricketers to have played the game.
