Two former champions slug it out...

No, not those two...

Cardiff Winner, Michael Greco raises it up from the cut-off. The small blind calls, Walsall Winner Jerome Bradpiece in the big blind pushes his shortened stack in. Greco dwells a little before calling, the small blind folds.

Greco:

Bradpiece:

Board:

two spades

Greco takes a small hit and Bradpiece doubles up his previously short stack.

Vicky Coren shoves for a big overbet after calling Praz's raise in the big blind on a board.

Vicky: "Come on let's gamble...Or maybe not, it depends what you have."

Praz: "I have Sevens."

Vicky: "Let's gamble then."

Praz: "I can't call..."

And he mucks, Vicky flashes the , no doubt the other card was the , or .

Pab got caught bluffing on a three diamonds three clubs board by for a 1.2k or so with (or it might have been )

Simon Taylor is OUT, calling all-in with Queens on a board against Shaf's Kings. and were the turn and river that were no help.

Shaf was his usually magnanimous self in victory. Roll Eyes

"Send it over to daddy."

Csaba Mak doubles up with the powerful all-in for around 4,500 on a Queen-high board against the nicely-dominated .  Back to 10k for the enigmatic youngster.

Elsewhere Flushy does manage to lose a few of those chips out of the towers (pictured).  Short stack Thomas Dunwoodie had managed to regenerate a decent number of chips this last level, and took James on in this pot.  They saw a flop heads up of:  two hearts .  Fluxhy, out of position, bet out 1,600.  Call.
Turn:    Now he check-calls Thomas' 1,500 bet (or was it 2k?  Some green 500s got in the middle, anyway).
River ("Heart!" Says Dunwoodie before it's dealt, unexpectedly):    Now Flushy checks, Thomas bets 3k instantly, and gets called almost equally instantly.

Dunwoodie has rivered a house with his while Flushy's is flipped in disgust.  I think there might be one person in the card room who hasn't heard about this hand, which is one more than missed his story about withdrawing his entry from the £100 PLHE on Monday and Grosvenor refunding him his money without his £10 juice...

Paul Parker (fig.1) asking if his stack looks impressive.

Paul Parker (fig.2) revealing that it's actually six green chips either side of his magnetic stick collection which he's using as stilts to make his stack look better.  "When do you think it will be my turn to have a good stack?" he laments.

Jerome Bradpiece is OUT in pretty galling circumstances. Jeff Buffenburger and one other player limper, Jerome made it 1,700 with A-Q. Jeff re-raised to 5,000 and the other limper passed. Jerome put Jeff on a pure steal and pushed and Jeff was committed to call with his....K-3

And a 3 came on the turn...

While doing a bit of aimless rail staring during a quiet period, a railer asked me, "Do you want a picture of the winner?"  Well, always interested in extremely enthusiastic tips for the top (or instances of psychic powers), I was pointed at this guy - Chris Gavriel.  Up to tenth in chips after four levels, this is probably your current leader (or top three at least) with 45,500.
