the flat track bully chart
Arsenal have won 1 of their 11 matches against teams above them & are yet to record an away win against any of the current top-12

question
So why is it that Tottenham's British players have improved so markedly & Arsenal's British ones have stagnated?

Germany international Ozil, who currently earns £140,000 a week, has been offered a wage rise to around £250,000 to sign a new deal with the Gunners - but feels he deserves closer to £300,000.

Seems like good news, selling Mesut and buying a cam who actually shows up to most of the games seems like the best thing to do.

Not sure that anything printed in the daily fail can be taken as gospel.
Unless it suits one's narrative of course.

Wouldn't have guessed that Arsenal were 3rd highest spenders or the points for
to 6th were so close.

Liverpoo must have spent £100M+ on So't'on players alone in the last couple of years.

Hmm, not sure where Sky got the numbers from but
http://www.transferleague.co.uk
has for the last two seasons:
Man City +£238m
Man Utd +£130m
Arsenal +£99m
Chelsea +£60m
Liverpool +£21m
Spurs +£20m
Getting £113m (!) for Ibe, Skrtel, Allen, Benteke, Sterling and Borini helped Liverpool somewhat.

meh
Add another season and Chelsea are top, Man City 1 point behind Spurs and Arsenal 5 points behind. Even the woeful Man U are only 10 points off Spurs. One more season and Chelsea and Man City are well clear and even Arsenal have them beat by 5 points.
Spurs fan created table obv. Impressive net spending the last few years mind.

Let's not forget that we were posting the 12-monthly table that had Arsenal topping the league not that many months ago.
Lies, damned lies, and statistics eh?

I recall Wenger said he was worth 12-15goals a season. If that's the case, without him we really would be up shit creek.
Alternatively you could question why after twenty years of not bringing in OAP casts offs, Wenger suddenly goes down this route.......running out of ideas perhaps?!!
We have had some indifferent goalies in the past, but i don't think PC has actually improved our performances.
