Wsop updates currently showing 8 Brits left out of 64 remaining... I'm guessing 800ish Brits didn't enter, to have 1 in 8 left is some ratio

Boost duly granted Mr G2L...

Feels like an appropriate time for some prose Alex, if you'd be so kind? Must have some interesting hands to talk about after the last few days! Best of luck today.

Mate, skim thread a couple of pages and you seem to be constantly tilted by bad beats, suggested online is rigged a couple of posts back, etc.... is it worth the stress? If it's making you feel like crap 90% of the days you play it's not for you.

Not criticism, just curious if you've considered if you'd be happier and wealthier by taking a different path.

Typo on the flyer? States '1 x $1,600 seat GTD'

I count approx $106k + the $111k one drop : when you look at all of those events it really puts into perspective the cost of the One Drop!

I'm quite sure you will be doing so anyway, but if you play the one drop I wouldn't have too high a % of yourself - maybe 25% max. Far too much to risk for one event, surely need a £5 million+ roll to justify playing an event like that without any backing.

Your title and post made no sense... the only bit I got was the brag, lol

If you're looking to gain business then ensure you present your proposal clearly, not a dig, just my advice.

Class, genuinely mini-fist pumped when I read the all in post v McDonald and have never met Alex, lol

Just keep playing your normal game Alex, it's good enough.

Yep, interesting place, i noted Judy Garland and Sammy Davis Jr, amongst others, had performed there. To be honest I was a little absorbed with the poker, not often I'll play a buy in of that level ... next time Smiley

Thanks Pads, I feel I play with a degree of fear nowadays....

So, we drifted along for a couple hours until we found   :

300-600/50 ante

We're second under the gun, choose to limp (🙈) Playing around 16,000 as its been three bets galore.

Get 3-bet to around 3k, folds round, we jam, Kings...

Down to 3k, next hand shove Q-9 for a triple up.

Two hand later, one of the hands in the triple up hand who had shown a propensity for calling 'light' limps under the gun, call/call/call ... I go all in with   ... SNAP call with the old   ... Fold fold

  Two Clubs Flop

😢☺️

That feeling of inevitability when you know a guy's hero call will win. The chap had me barely covered, but obvs loved them hearts Smiley

Next time, maybe?

75  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: London Hippodrome - End of January Tournament - £275 buy in on: January 30, 2016, 05:02:19 PM
Quick hand:

We hold  ...

Open early to 450, 100/200 BB 25 ante

One call...

Flop -

Hero checks - villain bets 1,025 - call

Turn  : check - check

River  two hearts

We lead 1,600 - villain calls and mucks

Sitting on around 22,000 at first break; also sitting on grolsch number 2 ☺️
