given his strike rate it'd make sense!

Spieth and Burns for me plus speculative wagers of English and Swafford finishing something at a course they like.

Got four match bets too:

Smith > Casey
Harman > Poulter
Kuchar > Matsuyama
Si-Woo Kim > Bradley

The Stars bet was no good sadly. Congrats on the win with Xander!

Good luck. JT didnt sound overly confident when he was interviewed last night. Xander has previous for coming from behind so def isn't out of it.

I actually didn’t back anyone outright this week. Looked well priced up, thought would go well and if he were a point bigger I probably would have backed him each way. Leishman was the other one I came closest to backing, think he’ll have a big year.

I did have three matchbets though, so sweating them:

Leishman > Casey (1.9)
Reed > DeChambeau (2.12)
Snedeker > Kuchar (2.16)

Hopefully get the 1st and 3rd home as the middle one looks dead.

You got anything running?

The bet I like tonight is the Stars to beat the Jets at 7/5. The Stars have been much improved since Klingberg returned from injury and his return seems to have sparked Tyler Seguin into some form (plus maybe the owner calling him out). The Jets are now without Nik Ehlers due to injury and their secondary scoring is ice cold (Kyle Connor has his a sophomore slump in a massive way). Struggling without big Buffy on the blue line too.

Stars took the first meeting of the season 5-1 and I think this is a good matchup for them even as visitors.

To be honest, I didn’t have much of a look. Golf, NFL and top 14 rugby was the punting priority this evening.

Good shout with the Pens yesterday Ralph. Easy win that.

Elias Petterson still out for the Canucks tonight? Think that is a big factor in the price.

Hutchinson was actually a servicable back-up with the Jets a couple of seasons ago. Not a bad third stringer to have. The Leafs really do have a strong team this year. Marner and Tavares are different class.

Rinswun you nailed it!

Sadly, I didn't quite get the over on PHI/CAR. Line of thought was right as Hart got taken out of the game by his coach with than half played. Unfortunately, his replacement came in and played really well so we didn't quite get there.

I actually like the Islanders against the Sabres tonight personally. Barzal heating right up, and very streaky, plus Lehner coming off a shutout so clearly seeing the puck well.

I also like a couple of totals. I like the Wild/Pens to go under 6. The Wild are pretty stingy at home, and DeSmith has been way better than Murray in nets for Pitts.

I like the Canes/Flyers to go over 6. Carter Hart is highly touted but he's been thrown in a bit earlier for my liking and the Carolina is a way better offensive team than defensively so Giroux and co should be able to put up a couple to see it go over.

Happy new year!

Having been at the game yesterday, he was largely anonymous in the first half. That said, Arsenal were significantly poorer in the second half when he wasnt on the pitch. Guendouzi was comfortably the standout Arsenal player to be honest.

One of Fernandinho's main strengths (to my eye) is his ability to commit a cynical foul to prevent an attack forming, far enough out from his own goal to avoid a booking. Does it about 5 times a game and routinely gets away with it. Very impressive.

Lovely. I, too, am a massive NHL fan. Have followed the New Jersey Devils since 2000, which feels like starting supporting Liverpool in 1987.

I've been in a very deep dynasty league since 2006. 15 teams, 28 man rosters, 28 man farms. One of the fellow league member is Dave Dubynk, brother of Minnesota Wild goaltender Devan.

Wales comes through for their nominee again. Just back the Welsh nominee next time around again.
