Quick update after IPL Day 1.
Just the one game yesterday, though it featured one of the protagonists of our top Englishman bet - Irishman Eoin Morgan. Morgan made an unbeaten 14 in closing out the game for KKR. He didn't look in great nick but probably did enough to keep his place until McCullum returns.
Today there are two matches, both of which we are interested in for separate reasons. Mumbai, our tip for the lot, face a difficult match first up against the Royal Challengers of Bangalore and Luke Wright's Pune Warriors meet the new boys Sunrisers Hydrabad. Will he get a game? We shall see.
Each team plays a minimum 16 games so its a marathon not a sprint. I'll get a runs table up once everyone's teams havre played once.

The dogs are on sky tonight channel 212. Coventry and rommers. I went through the rommerscard With a view to playing the hotbox. Made trap 3 a massive favourite. Phoned W Hills (who do the bet) fell off My chair when they said 7/2. Whipped round the shops and had near my max on.
Suggest a tenner at 7/2 for fred
Get an interest in all the races . Bet is 3 points for winner 2 fir second 1 for third. Top scoring trap over the 12 races wins.. Simples!
Lee
Is there a difference between hotbox and a trap challenge?

Heh, glad to hear it. If anyone ever takes a trip down to Hove, give me a shout and i'll happily get the drinks in.
If I may say so, that is a little unwise. Do you realise how much a round for Dubai can cost? I got bitten for one recently, had to give Flushy £100 to "get Dubai a drink". When I asked for my change, Flushy's face was a proper picture. Haha fair point, I'll qualify it then - I'll happily get a couple of pints of Harveys in. I'll ensure updates are regular.

I was having a look at the IPL markets yesterday and saw one bet that I felt was standout. There is a top English batsmen market with four runners in Owais Shah, Azher Mahmood, Eoin Morgan and Luke Wright. Shah is currently 7/4 favourite but I think he collects well over half the time and would have expected him to be odds on.
My reasoning is this - Shah plays for the Rajasthan Royals who have been struggling in the past couple of editions. They are one of the lower spenders so their foreign acquisitions are modest (Watson and Tait being the standouts). Last year Shah played in 13 of their 16 games and scored 340 runs (averaging 37) which put him in the top 20 overall. He is an important part of their middle order and should feature prominently again.
Mahmood is second favourite at 9/4 and I can't fathom it. He made his IPL debut last year at 37 scoring 186 runs (at an average of 23). He tends to bat at 7 for his team the Kings XI and is not guaranteed a start with Kallis, Lee and Haddin shoo-ins for three of the four foreigner spots.
Wright and Morgan round out the market and are both available at 7/2. Morgan was unused by KKR in IPL5 and may not be a regular starter as KKR have a wealth of foreign options. He he does play, he seems to find it difficult to adapt to the Indian conditions as he averages just 14 in 18 games in the IPL. As a Sussex season ticket holder, Luke Wright is a favourite of mine but is likely to find starts hard to come by at Pune. They have a foreign captain in Angelo Matthews which ties up one of the four spots available. Mystery spinner Mendis was a marquee acquisition so you'd expect him to take another. That leaves two spots split between Ross Taylor, Marlon Samuels, Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh and Kane Richardson. Richardson seems a logical choice given he went for a huge sum at auction so you can see where Wright will struggle. Wright is a great T20 player but isn't a 'sexy pick' like some of the afore mentioned.
Given the above, I'd recommend a £40 bet on Shah @7/4 with Boylesports or Stan James.

I know I'm not known here but thought you all might be interested in an opportunity.
Pinny have quick moving lines for most things which meaning anything which is far off tends to get adjusted pretty quickly and usually means they are pretty near to perfect. This is good as it enables us to see compare the lines available at other books and assuming pinny are correct, we can bet any significant line differences elsewhere comfortable that we are picking up solid equity. Today bet365 appear to be way off with their 5 inning total lines on a number of games, in some spots offering upto 2 extra runs whilst posting the under at the same price.
I understand you can't get on there and I'm not known so you might just want a watching brief but the following are incredible bets:
MIN/DET u5.5 @20/23 (pinny line is 3.5) LAA/CIN u5 @5/6 (pinny line is 3.5) SEA/OAK u4.5 @ 4/5 (pinny line is 3.5)
Just an update about this. All three pipped and 365 paid up. I guess I'll find out later if they still want to lay me bets.

Hi Tikay,
I am a sport fan in general but particularly the stuff on the other side of the pond (MLB, NHL, PGA golf in particular). I am also a gambler who is attempting to be a lot more selective in his punts by sticking to what he knows. However, in an effort to learn more and in the interests of fun at smaller stakes, I have been following this thread since Cheltenham and placing a few selected bets (hence my question about the NR in the FGS bets).
Regarding the bets in question I have a US based friend who primarily bets tennis (particular the WTA stuff) and who has posted some impressive yearly figures. He told me at the start of the year that 365 is often way off on their totals on tennis and MLB, and slow to adjust them, so to keep an eye on them when the season rolled around. Sure enough he appears to be spot on. Every other book is near enough completely in line with Pinny.
Good stuff, & you clearly do your homework. "redarmi" has suggested the prices are so bad (= good, as in "wrong") that maybe it will result in a palp, & subsequent Account Closure. Hardly worth losing an Account for £30 or so, so I need to go have a little dither now in a dark corner. But whatever we decide about this one, I hope you hang around, & contribute some stuff, we need new blood. Ah, I wouldn't want you to get your account shut tikay. I'm not restricted and probably lost enough there during Chelt (thanks to Neil I won everywhere else!) to get it through. I'll definitely stick around, thanks for having me.

Random question from a random poster who enjoys this thread.
I had £10e/w on Blaszcyzkowski FGS with 365 and a £10e/w FGS double on him and El-Shaaraway. Given he didn't start and the Poles scored before he came on how would those be settled? What happens if he comes on and scores?
Thanks in advance.
Void the single and the double becomes a single on the Italian I believe. Excellent, cheers
