That kind of stuff needs to be removed from poker.

It's a pet peeve of mine ... I hate when players who are way ahead in a hand start loudly calling for cards. Leave that to the player in need of help ...

I wouldn't do that, but I would stare at her angrily like she'd taken the last of the milk from the fridge and not replaced it.

It is quite unusual to find a female player who chats the whole time (although not when it's not her involved in a hand, unlike some) - example:

Vanessa Rousso didn't seem to like to tangle with Christer Johanssen (in fact telling him earlier "you scare me, I don't want to play against you - you find me re-raising I have the nuts," admitting to having made "the worst laydown of my life" to you.

Then a hand developed where Christer raised to 8,500 preflop, and Vanessa called.
Flop: two hearts   a quick check-check
Turn:   Vanessa checked, Christer bet 12,500 and she quickly made it 25,000.  Christer, a heartbeat later, put her to a decision for her whole stack.  There was the totally expected and utterly understandable dwell (interrupted by the dealer calling 'Time' and getting quickly overruled before a chorus of American voices raised holy hell, as well they might).  She's definitely a talker - "I don't have the nuts but I have damn close....I admitted to being scared by you.." thinking out loud like so she ended by (probably wisely) passing and saying, perhaps a little unexpectedly considering her earlier comments, "I'm assuming you have AQ..."

Still flying the flag are...

Surinder Sunar and Nabil Ayoubi

Count them and weep WPT, the Brits are here in full force.

Maybe we should claim Hellmuth, I'm sure he stayed in one of our hotels once.

After all, we do have Rusedski...

Surinder Sunar is very love, probabaly the shortest out of everyone, but he's just lost a few more.

He raised 3k preflop, Mateyboy made it 9k, forcing Surinder into a fold.

Those British chippy counts for you after the hand...

Surinder Sunar -- 17,500
Nabil Ayoumi -- 97,300

Where is she from? Never heard of her but my guess is she's not from Europe.
That kind of behaviour is exactly the kind that will give poker a bad image. One of these days she'll be surprised when she realises players will be glad when she's knocked out.

How about these for towers??

Extra brownie points if you can name the player.

Vanessa Rousso is from Miami, Florida, and actually went to the same college as Pokerwire's Jen Creason (one of our American poker reporters). She appeared briefly on a Bodog TV special, and then bubbled at the recent WPT World Championship in 7th place. (In her defense, she went out on a bad beat, when her A-K suited lost to James Van Alstyne's A-J suited when a jack fell on the turn. They were both all in preflop; she reraised all in, and he called.)

With only those two things to her credit (along with her looks), she's been signed to Team PokerStars. Perhaps they wanted to fill the void left by Evelyn Ng, who moved over to Bodog.

Erica Schoenberg, who was shown in a photograph earlier, is one of the loveliest girls you'll ever meet. She's a class act all the way, and she can definitely play. She actually finished 16th in the same WPT World Championship as Rousso, but has more respect from other professional players. Erica has signed a big contract with MansionPoker.net, which Blondeites will recognize as the primary sponsor of the PokerDome event -- where Rhowena Colclough won their first televised speed poker tournament.

Regardless of how she fares in this event, you can all but guarantee that Vanessa Rousso will be invited to the WPT's Ladies Night IV.

Hmm, perhaps it's about time they invited some of the female players who have been battling it out for years to make it in this male dominated game, without the advantage of freebies and handouts.
