I was watching 'Deadwood' the other day and was struck by the similarity...

Morning/afternoon/evening (I just don't know any more!) -

He's been so close already to the victory - that gutshot really started the comeback of Chip Reese...but Andy has his vocal fans in the stands - before everyone started to fade out, there was quite a cheering section for the likeable pro.  He was even handing out some sort of DVD earlier to members of the audience.  That's bound to increase one's popularity, like wearing a cowboy hat.

I'm guessing it was his "Beating Blackjack with Andy Bloch" DVD.

I forgot to mention my Quote of the Day - from Andy Black:  "I hope Andy wins it, because it increases my profile as people get us confused all the time."

We have now been playing heads up for 6 and a half hours.

The crowd clap this 'achievment'

Quote from MadYank: "Are they applauding their skills in poker or skills in absolute conservatism?"

This isn't great viewing. The two players aren't chatting too much, don't really play up to the crowd, and are playing conservative beyond belief. As much as I admire the two participants and can fully understand their approach to the situation, I'd take a Hellmuth vs Matusow encounter any day.
