Another dull game yesterday.

Should have been 4-0 up and ended up 2-1 down after 48mins. Good to see Gradel get another 2 goals and J Howsons goals looked a treat. At least a playoff spot is in our own hands so ours to lose.

Interesting reading the News of the World report on the game, its clear he had to submit his report at 50mins as the last sentence of the lengthy report was "and Leeds scored there 3rd 4th and 5 goals late on". Erm WTF, nothing about how, when, how the last 40mins went.

We played abso brilliant yest. Was a joy to watch for 70 mins.

End of 1st half and start of 2nd sumat happened and we panicked for 20. Then normal service was restored, only this time we put the sitters away. 15 shots on target, 16 off target i think the stats were on BBC. Donny were attrocious for most parts and looked completely clueless going forward majority of the time.

Snoddy, Howson and Gradel were different gravy yest.

PNE got what they deserved 0 points and owned by 5000 Leeds fans chanting throughout the game.

Interesting the Ref assistant apparently had a good game? did she smash it?

Should Leeds really be 33/1 for the title? From prices and news today it seems like a points deduction for QPR is more realistic than was initially thought yesterday when the news broke. If they received a points deductions of a decent size it could leave Leeds 3 points off the top.
It could drag on past the end of the season and they may not get a deduction at all but if they got say 10 points, what odds would Leeds be to win it being 3 points off top?

Leeds could win every game to the end of the season, or on the flip we could lose alot. I checked out the odds last week and Leicester / Burnley were shorter prices! we have Burnley/QPR/Forest to play I believe so if points deduction comes 33/1 is huge.

I was there Smiley i think it was my first year going to games and I must say it was a hazardous at best of times!! a lot of Yorkshire's Republican Army and the service crew went to away games and it generally included huge fights in and around the ground. Aka stabbings at Birmingham.

A point of interest is around that time the Mirror having some crusade against Leeds United for a long period of time. I am not sure why? but it seemed they were trying to do their best to get us very negative press on a daily basis. They called for Leeds to be kicked out of the league (lol) when we went down to Bournemouth  and won promotion Smiley apparently they didn't think our fans behaved themselves.

must say it sounds a touch exaggerated from the mirror, at least the bit about leafleting local residents. firstly I've never heard this story before and probs would've if it had happened, secondly did leeds fans come down specially beforehand just to do this? and thirdly are we supposed to believe they were stupid enough to not realise that no charlton fans come from near selhurst park?

I don't think Leeds fans cared who was there, most were looking for a fight in those days. I have never heard of the posting stuff through locals doors before. I bet it was one local Leeds fan that was having a laugh and blown up. Often when I was watching Leeds in London alot of the away fans around me were locals Sad

Today marks the 50th anniversary since the greatest manager to ever grace the game took over Leeds.

Revie an often misunderstood man, especially by lazy journalists who cant be bothered to write something positive about his managerial work. If you look back at what he did when he came to Leeds in '61 his  methods and man management of the players was way way ahead of anything that had been seen before in this country. His players would die for him, he was their second father figure and he built up the club to be a family where the players would literally look after each others back (sometimes unfairly on the pitch but this is often over emphasised and the great football we played forgotten).

Simple things off the pitch like the players spending time together socialising. Not allowing them to drink 48hrs before games. Really looking after a player and his family, making them feel needed and cherished.

When Revie took over people forget Leeds was a relatively small club, football in Leeds was second to Rugby and we had no history of success. The history we have today is largely down to Revie Smiley There was a poor article in the guardian this week about Revie, the type of crap I expect in other newspapers about him buying players to throw games etc and the way he walked out on England. Today there is nothing wrong with managers leaving if they know they are going to get sacked, but I guess in those days times were different.

Heard from a very good source that Snodgrass is off to Newcastle in the summer.

Thoughts on this?  Is he good enough to play in the premiership?

And if Leeds manage to go up they are surley a bigger club than Newcastle if they can consolidate in the first year?

His pace is what imo stops him from being a top player, he is still very good. I have not heard anything about him going, all the rumors where regarding gredal. If we don't go up he goes.

He is good mates with a fella I know.  I was hoping there might be a chance of getting him back up the road but I can't see Celtic matching the fee or the wage.   Also hear that Snoddy has 10% of the sell on fee,  MBN.

Literally is about as fast as me tho.
