I am sorry you took your stand at the wrong time.

But making a stand with A 2 (ie top pair bottom kicker) may not have been the smart move?!?!

May I suggest that you need to work on your patience a little?

Please dont take this the wrong way - I have been on the recieving end of many bad runs, and in all honesty, when you really analyse them (and I mean REALLY analyse) you will probably see that you were at fault most of the time.

Greed is a big sin when running bad.

Ask yourself this, had you been running good - would you of moved all in with $170odd into a $40 pot with top pair bottom kicker ?? I would suspect the answer would be "no"

Take some time off, and come back refreshed.

Also you say "name and shame" but I really fail to see what he did wrong?

Given that he sucked out four times in a row, he was bullying the table every hand, thought I was some rock so not a threat, and that the one time I do take it to him and he has it, if this was a live game, give (to the nearest metre) the distance from the table he'd have run before I'd have got up out of my seat to smack him in the head?Huh?

he wouldn't be able to run away from the table, he would be weighed down with all your monies!

Here's the question...

if this was a live game, give (to the nearest metre) the distance from the table he'd have run before I'd have got up out of my seat to smack him in the head?Huh?

If this is how you would react to losing a big pot, maybe you should give up playing live too.

He didn't do anything wrong. He simply won some money from you in a card game. Its not like he insulted you, cheated or did something really deserving of a naming and shaming. It certainly wouldn't justify a violent reaction, if it had been a live game.

Keep poker friendly.

Could not resist....

1st. you have overplayed your top pair with weak kicker.... so no bad beat for you here.
If you want to challenge the maniacs the chioice of playing with A2 tells more about your own poker skill then theirs.

2nd  If you can't outplay those kind of players then perhaps you should take on other game that will cost you less and make you less angry.
3rd  The whole point of poker is to have players who make mistakes therefore a good player can have an edge.

As to your update urban myths are not very healthy and to be honest do not help your case.

4th to you bad beat story with AA HU

okenum  -h ah ad  - two spades
Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards
cards      win   %win     lose  %lose   tie  %tie     EV
Ah  1466278  85.63   239339  13.98  6687  0.39  0.858
two spades   239339  13.98  1466278  85.63  6687  0.39  0.142

It means that 1 in ten roughly 62o will beat AA so tough but can happen.
