My spider senses inform me that the play has restarted, but I wouldn't put my house on it. Those sense once told me that I would court Angelina Jolie, but that scenario failed to emerge.

There's still time... Please don't talk about spiders though.  scared

JP lost a huge amount of chips making a move wtih A-7.

He ran into Kings and couldn't find an Ace on a Q-5-8--8-5 board.

At least you didn't say, "that easy..."

Anyway, back on the Feature Table, which has a full set of stands round it now so it's hard to see what's going on - there was a pretty big hand.  A raise to 11,500, followed by not one, but two over-the-top all-ins.  One was what sounded like 'Ford' and the other was Ivey.  After a suitable dwell the original raiser threw his hand away, and it was an (Ford(?)) and (Ivey) match-up.
Flop:
Turn:    (at which I distinctly noticed a raised eyebrow from Phil, who ended the hand smiling)
River:

So down one player - who will they bring to fill the gap?  Oh yes, it's random...

After JP's A7 v Kings hand, the Amercian who took it off him was celebrating with his mates and said, rather snidely

"A-7?...I should play in Europe more often"

Anyway, in the next hand JP raised from mid position and Paul Testud on the bb called.  There were two jacks on the flop, which Paul bet. JP folded and was down to 25k.

A few hands later JP moved in with 99 in the small blind. Lodden, in the bb called with A-5. Nines held and JP is back to 50k.

Bernard Stoddart is out. Down to 18,000, he pushed with pocket eights and was called by pocket jacks. Just to rub it in, two further jacks hit the board.

It looks as though Jeffrey Allesandro is our chip leader with 205k, although he appears to be practising for this year's Crufts.

I very nearly leapt through.

The feature table has Thomas himself commentating, and the stage area has somehow not taken over too much of the card room - the fast and furious cash games are raging all around it, while spectators are now wedged in every available space.  Back in a sec with illustration:

Not sure I'd want to stick up this chap, remember Diesel in Pitch Black??

Anyhow, shove it up him was exactly what Paul Zimbler did as he re-raised Mateyboy's preflop raise for another 40k.

He passed, although couldn't resist giving the Marbella kid a rather menacing stare.

It's been a real grindathon for the Ribena Berry himself, Anthony Chessa.

He just bumbed his shortstack up to 20,800 though with a bet on a 2 clubbed flop. Chessa showed his and scooped a smallish, but vital pot.

Paul Parker raises from the button to 10k, MB in the BB makes it another 15, Parker folds, claiming he had A-8.

Do we believe him?

Anyhow, he's back down to 21.100 and struggling.
