To late to stop them going out the Champions league, but he will ensure they win the league even at his age!

isn't that the league that forlan does well in, despite being a bomb in the english league? its one thing scoring goals in minor countries, but in the premier league, its a different story. Still, at least if he fails the celts can blame it on age.

No need to get defensive Totalise, I'm basing my statement on facts. I realise that the EPL is of a very high standard but it is not as good as the Spanish League, trophies won in Europe speak for themselves, the UEFA coefficient (which is highly biased towards the big 5) also speaks for itself. If you want to look at the real facts and figures please go to http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/
This gives you all the info you need!

Yawn, Larsson has scored goals in World Cups, European Championships, Champions League, Uefa Cup, La Liga I'm sure the over rated over hyped Sky league will not have him quaking in his boots.
If you knew anything about Larsson you would know that his game is not all about scoring either he is a great team player who puts a shift in every time he takes the field.

Thierry Henry after Champions League Final

"People always talk about Ronaldinho and magic and that, but I didn't see him today -- I saw Henrik Larsson. That's where the magic was," Henry said.

"Two times he came at us with those little short runs. When he started buzzing around the box he changed the game, that is what killed us. Sometimes you talk about Ronaldinho and Eto'o and people like that, you need to talk about the proper footballer who made the difference and that was Henrik Larsson tonight," he said.

Ronaldinho - "With Henrik leaving us at the end of the season this club is losing a great scorer, no question. But I am also losing a great friend. Henrik was my idol and now that I am playing next to him it is fantastic."

To be fair Henry & Ronaldinho hadn't been on the Stella all night  Wink

Hes a good signing, but Man Utd will fade, Chelsea will rise, and after all Man Utd still have all the hard fixtures to go.

I hate them both, but Man u more, so COME ON CHELSKI

I really don't believe man u will win the league but it is hard to be sure. You need to get some more midfielders otherwise you will be knackered by the end of the season.

Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher, O'Shea, Park, Richardson, Smith. I think we'll muddle through in midfield.  Someone like Larrson is perfect for us. an experienced super sub for when  . looking forward to him in a Utd shirt.

after the 1st goal went in on Wednesday I thought we looked very much like contenders for Europre this year and very much a serious threat for the Premiership.

Adam, you overestimate your squad, if not your team. Look at your subs at Celtic Park, Celtic bought on subs who could change things, Man U brought on Evera (sp?) and O'Shea. Larsson was and probably still is  a better player than any striker you've got, it just depends on him getting to play enough for you to realise what we, Barca, and everyone else are missing.

FFS for the last time. LARSSON IS GOOD, BUT HE IS NOT GOD!!!

This is turning into a pet hate of mine, celtic supporters are more bloody short sited than Liverpool fans!!!

Larsson better than Rooney, please stop taking the piss.

Rooney has yet to prove he is a truly world class player, though there is no doubting the potential.

Larsson has scored in three world cup finals - including going as far as the semi-finals - has won the Champions League, played in the UEFA Cup Final - scoring two goals - and won the Golden Boot. His goal scoring ratio for Sweden over 90+ games is better than Rooney's for England.

Bear in mind that while Rooney plays as a '2nd striker', Larsson played many games for Sweden as a winger.

Rooney so far is more famous for getting sent off, or getting off with grannies, than he is for actually scoring goals on the truly big stages.

Two players at opposing ends of their careers. One who HAS done it all. One who has the capability to do it all.

Ferenc Puskás achieved a lot, i would still be worried if he was signed by Man Utd.......
