And that's the end of the match. Bigglesthwaite CC won by 7 wickets.
Class XI 162-10
Bigglesthwaite CC 163-3

Was a bit tense there for a while - I don't like having a tail starting at 7!

3 from 3 now, next 2 games will be TIEd and lost but hopeful I can get to the halfway point of the season with 5 wins from 7.

Somewhat worried at 79-6 but managed 203 all out. Got them at 97-8 Smiley

But, they're one of two good teams in my div gone bot so I kind've thought I might win. Revised target for this season: nine wins and 4th place.

Five minutes left of my cybercafe time so might not post the result.

Falling off and the RRR is getting further and further away.

End of Over 33: 153-2, runrate=4.64, reqrunrate=8.00 (288-6)

Still im batting my way through at the moment. That will do me. Altho if Id GFI instead of TIE I fancy i may have done better.

And that's the end of the match. Matts Monkeys won by 3 wickets.
Saltstraumen Cricket Club 221-10
Matts Monkeys 223-7

First points Smiley

quick question though - is it possible to change tactics mid game? I lost a wicket after about 10 overs and my number 2 and 3 went to work chipping away at his score at 3 or 4 an over. So as i am approaching the 35th over and now the required run rate is creeping up to nearly 5 but my batsmen are showing no urgency to increase the rate.

The 40th over goes and now the req run rate is nearly 6 but i still have 9 wickets remaining and they are still pladding along - is there any way to change it to attacking mid-game?

(as it happens all hell broke loose and as well as getting the runs i lost 6 wickets at the same time - all for the purposes of making it look good for tv i think! Cheesy)

No way to change things mid game but more experienced players are meant to adapt to the match situation better.

Right my game today

Hard and fast pitch.. and I have 3 spinners playing hmmmm

lose the toss and bowl first

opponents make 291-4 after being 150-0

In reply.. usual thing... 122-3.. then my opening bat scores 153 from 140 balls, and my no 5 scores 69 from 69 balls

288-3 comes 289-7 and I sneak a 4 with 2 balls remaining....

I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
