There are a couple that I like today, although I've not been in great form this year:

Katchit in The Triumph Hurdle, I know it's not a race for the pro' to bet in but I love this horse's attitude and I'm on for modest stakes @ 7.8 on Betfair.

I could not not resist the 2/1 that I snaffled on betfair a couple of days ago for Kauto Star in the Gold Cup, also to modest stakes.

Big each-way bet on L'ami in the Gold Cup but only minor bets in the other races.

Probably post some selections tomorrow.

Well i've had an awful Cheltenham so far
Detroit City, Monets Garden to name a few.
So,  if Kauto Star comes in, its only a small loss overall, if it loses then i've done my load!

  I feel Exotic!

Wouldt say no to a State of Play Win coz had £4 on it on betfair back when it was 80-1 some many moons ago.

I've laid the favourites all week.

But I'm going the other way today.

Lounaos has shown form miles in front of anything she faces today. Plus she gets the fillies allowance. Stand out bet at 4/1 for me.

Wichita Lineman looks a rock solid 6/4 shot. Already the best horse in the race, he seems sure to improve at this trip. Although a theiving each way bet on Flight Leader seems a good alternative too.

My Hunter Chase man assures me Whyso Mayo is completely different class in the foxhunters and 11/4 is a great price.

In the county hurdle I have heard a strong whisper for Ameeq. I will also back Carracciola and Tarlac.

That's about it.

Oh, I nearly forgot. I've had £4000 on Kauto Star at 7/4, It's my biggest ever bet on a horse. I might trade out a little bit if he goes ridiculously short. But, I'll be more than happy to keep the whole lot. I can't ever remember being this confident about a horse winning a race as this. The more I look at the opposition the more I see a bunch of handicappers.  Kauto is going to end his career as one of the best horses we've ever seen. I think it's going to be a long time until we get the opportunity to back him at this sort of price again.

my Yankee

2 :00
Katchit   Last run in prep for this race was awsome.  Showed a great turn of foot and i can see Alan King/ Robert  Thorton combo grap another big race at the festival.  The ground will be perfect.

3:15
Kauto Star  i also have a large sum on this class act. I jumped on the bandwagen that said it will fall but studied the form guide and change my mind. Only fell twice in career and is actually a good jumper,  only for losing concentration at times.   It also beat Exotic Dancer by  8L at Kempton.

4:00
WhysoMayo  Destroying all opositation in Ireland and i believe won this last year.

5:20
Osanu  -  Always been a folllower of this determined game horse.

Ive been against Kauto Star all season. For me the size of the field is key,ALL of his wins have been in small fields when he has a chance to get a good view of the fences.
Also i cant have a Gold Cup winner with no Cheltenham form.
I know Kauto beat Exotic Dancer by 8 lengths at Kempton but i dont think its unreasonable to argue that Exotic Dancer is at least 8 lenghts a better horse at Cheltenham than anywhere else.
Im also keen on Degas Art.

Me too mate, lost every bet bar one so far.  Wouldn't mind so much if I'd picked 3 legged horses but they've all been supposedly ok!

Anyway,

2.00 Punjabi - had a tip for this one, not sure how reliable it is but as I've nothing to lose, I'll go with it
2.35 Flight Leader to win, Black Harry to place.
3.15 Kauto Star - if nothing else, by backing it, I've helped you layers Cheesy  Besides a favourite has to win one soon.....doesn't it?

That's it.  Thankfully my BF account is empty again and should these lose, that's it staying that way for a while.

I've backed L'ami for the gold cup already and lately have gotten a strong fancy for State of Play.

I just can't see Kauto winning this and the feeling I have is almost as strong as I was about Kicking King winning the thing and Ouaji board winning the Oaks. I just can't see it happen, sure he's BY FAR the best horse in the race but the best horse doesn't always win and at the current odds I have laid him off.

the Girlfriend wanted a forecast in the race. State of Play and Exotic Dancer (who she's been backing all year with plenty success) in a reverse FC.

I have also done the FC today but with Exotic Dancer, L'ami and State of play on first and those + Monkerhostin and My will on second. If Kauto doesn't get round I would be dissapointed if I didn't get that right.

It'll be a great days racing..I thought about laying Wichita Lineman but don't know really..so only laid him off for a 120£ liability at 6-4.

that's all the betting for me today I just hope the horsie Gods are with me and that KLauto doesn't win the gold cup..if that happens I will have had a very successfull Cheltenham (up £290 at the moment)

4.10    Moonoki

To be fair, although the race actually starts at 4, 4.10 is probably about the time Moonoki will pass the finishing line. Is 380-1 on Betfair! lol

Great call on Idole First yesterday though.
